The Moral Law not Abrogated by Christ to Believers

But really, the ease of taking photographs is far removed from the effort it would take to carve or engrave an image. The latter would only be undertaken if the heart desired to worship a false god.

The day of the LORD confirmation of Zech14

Well using your logic the entire prophecy cannot be future because the Medes no longer exist.

    Do they have the mark?

If you would like to avoid a continued ignorance in this matter click the Mystery of Azal link below in my signature, then open your mind.

    What is Grace?

The blotting out of sin is the atonement Christ made; it is not conditional. It is past tense. A done deal. Man's appropriation of that unconditional grace is dependent on his repentance and faith. Using one of your examples, the father forgave his prodigal son long, long before his son repented...

The day of the LORD confirmation of Zech14

Obviously Isaiah was prophesying about the Mede/Persian conquest of Babylon (539 BC). I guess one reason you think this is a future prophecy is because the translation you use says 'THE day of the lord'. The Hebrew, however, does not have the definite article THE, but says 'A day of the lord'...

    Sanctified and Justified

The bible says: If he should draw back, my soul has no pleasure in him: but the just shall live by my faith. Habakkuk 2:4 Scott, if you don't have perfect faith, you are not perfectly just (righteous), and therefore a sinner. All unrighteousness is sin: and there is sin not unto death. 1 John...

    What is Grace?

OK Scott. Thanks for the clarification. Watching video now... strike 1: DeSario says the Greek word translated reconciliation means 'a return to favor'. Not true. He's using the modern definition of reconciliation, not the Greek definition. The Greek definition points to an exchange, or...

    Jurgen Moltmann

I was confusing Moltmann with Peter Drukker in the first video.

    Do they have the mark?

The fact that verses 4-5 have already occurred completely invalidates the notion that all of Zechariah 14 is future.

    What is Grace?

What in the world do you think the blood of sprinkling refers to? Everything in the old covenant is a shadow of Christ and the new covenant, the reality. The high priest sprinkling blood on the mercy seat on the day of atonement that covered the sins of Israel for one year was just a shadow of...

    Do they have the mark?

Please pay attention. Did I say anything about any verse after verse 5?

    Sanctified and Justified

H, those who say they don't sin at all are deceived. Whatever is not of faith is sin. Do you have perfect faith? If not you sin. If you say you are perfect, you are a liar, and thus sin. Please explain this contradiction.

A message for those of you expecting to go to heaven

I think we need to explore this to understand what does lead to death and what doesn't.

    Do they have the mark?

Zechariah 14:1-5 is not referring to future events. Zechariah 14:1-2 describes events that happened in 70 AD during the Roman destruction of Jerusalem; and verses 4-5 describe a landslide that occurred on the Mt of Olives sometime in the past, possibly when Christ died on the cross. The...

the sounding of the second trumpet Part 1, 2 and 3

Did the possibility ever occur to you that Jeremiah was prophesying about the Babylon that existed in his day and has since been destroyed?

A message for those of you expecting to go to heaven

Sorry, Ruth. I was a little cryptic. The work of GOD is to believe into Christ. This requires an obedience of the whole being. Mental belief alone that Jesus is GOD cannot save because it is only a mental image in the mind. Thus it is belief without works. I sure like reading your posts.

    What is Grace?

Bless you brother. Glad you saw the light. Stick around. I'm getting ready to address an issue that you brought up in another thread, which I was going to respond to, but think this is a much better place to do so. (not tonight, but after Dan Scott responds. I think it was your post; maybe...

    What is Grace?

This is where you err and demonstrate your unbelief. The blood of the lamb covers sin and is eternally on the mercy seat; therefore sin is eternally covered for those who put their faith in it. As long as we abide in faith that the blood has the power to cover any sin (except unbelief) we remain...

    What is Grace?

Again, the Hebrew is different. Virility and vigor, not power and might. I'm not so sure about the Hebrew, but in the Greek there is a difference between power and might. Power really means ability, and might means strength.
