@Prim Well, maybe the poll does not really reveal a lot.... But I guess it can be said that if, rather than light clip-ons, the heavier, more elegant earrings are going to be worn, then in order that they stay on the ear the earlobes really do need to be pierced, right? and I guess the poll...

@Prim What some ppl who are not very doctrinally minded sometimes seek to do is to read into other people's lives and periods of history their own fundamentalist culture as opposed to real doctrine.

@Prim Those various preachers and writers whom you cite were men of doctrine, indeed, steeped in the Scriptures. We do well to follow their earnest pursuit of the deep truths of the Word of God.

Hi @Prim Calvin indeed wrote some helpful commentaries. He died in 1564. (The Synod of Dort which prepared the 5 Points of Calvinism occurred in 1618/19.)

Hi @Siddhi Koli This is a verse from Romans 8 which often comes to mind; it's a great chapter indeed, and very assuring to the believer in the Lord Jesus.

I don't think you are open to the Scriptures quoted. I am going to use a particular button now.

@Ronald Nolette I have anyway talked with young ppl with Bible verses tattooed. (Psalm verse; John 3.16...) And they all would seem to have gone to the tattoo artist with witness tool reasons in mind. I guess that the young man or woman who has had an arm or wrist tattooed with such Bible...

@Ronald Nolette I noted long ago that maybe John 6 should be read more often. There are plain statements in John 6 which some ppl have long seemed to struggle with but which are clear and straightforward.
