    A look at the FACTS

Not the subject of this thread and I am sure you have a reason that is not complimentary to me. But I will answer your question as I understand it. According to the Law of Moses a high priest had to be ceremonialy washed before performing his duties. Since Jesus became our high Priest under...

    A look at the FACTS

James 2:20-21 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? (NKJ) FACT! No, Abraham was not! ---- according to the scriptures He was accounted righteous (JUSTIFIED)...

Two Ways of thinking about OSAS

I really wish people would read a scripture for what it says and believe it. I, personally, believe that God has made a plan of salvation that is completely in His hands to accomplish and a person would do well to praise Him for it and trust in it. Do people really believe that the God who...

Everything else in James except 2:17-26

You asked and I will supply; Rom 5:15-17 15 But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man's offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many. 16 And the gift is not like that which came through the one who...

Two Ways of thinking about OSAS

I'll let you worry about it but as for me I will trust in Jesus' promise that He will never turn me away. As for OSAS I think about these scriptures; 1 Cor 3:10-15 10 According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on...

    About works

I just love this! The scripture tell us why God called Abraham RIGHTEOUS and it was not what you have said. You are doing what so many do, rewriting scripture to fit your theology. Abraham believed the promises God made to him, period.

Everything else in James except 2:17-26

The book of James was written to the Jews who were under the law of Moses. (James 1:1) To apply what James said to those under the law, to those under grace, causes confusion because Law and grace does not mix. A free gift is not free if you work for it.

    Thou shalt not commit adultry

There is a sin of adultery that can condemn a person but it isn't adultery in the flesh'. It is Spiritual adultery. Spiritual adultery is when a person says they have faith in the work of Jesus on the cross and also having faith in their own works.

    About works

You are right, many are trying to obey the law even though we are not under the law. You are trying to put everyone under the law even though you know you still sin in the flesh and the law condemns you for it. Perhaps you should put your faith in what God has done for those that are condemned...

    About works

I thank my God (Jesus) that I am not under the law because the law condemns. Jesus knows that I live in sinful flesh and He made a salvation that can save sinners. When you mix law with grace you come up with the writing in the above. It seems that some want to put those that God has set free...

    In me first --

What I have shown you is that the words """foremost""" means the same thing as """Chief"" Look it up in a dictionary like I have. --- Foremost = SYN, see chief. Get it yet? Your play on words changed nothing. Paul's words ""in me first""" mean exactly what they says especially when he says...

    In me first --

I see that you did not want to discuss verse 16. I hate to bust your bubble but my NKJ Bible reads this way. 1 Tim 1:15-16 15 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. Your = foremost of all 16 However...

    "Christians" engaging in un-Christian behavior

True salvation IS NOT A PROCESS. 1 Cor 6:11 11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God. NKJV 2 Cor 1:21-22 21 Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is...

    In me first --

Have you torn out this verse in your Bible? 16 However, for this reason I obtained mercy, ------ that in me first------ Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life. Since it is in my Bible I will believe it.

    The Blended Gospel

You will never be able to see the truth until you put all your faith, trust, belief, and confidence in the work of God's Son, Jesus, on the cross. Jesus is our (my) Ark and it was built by God, not man. OUR ARK =: (Paul’s “in Christ” doctrine) based on 15 scriptures 2 Cor 1:19-22 19 For the...

    The Presence of God

Jesus came to save the sinful. His blood shed on the cross pays for all the sins of mankind, past, present and future. If a person thinks that God will turn His back on His children, who are still living in a sinful body that will still sin, then that person doesn't have faith, trust...

    The Blended Gospel

Don't waste your time trying to set me up as a rebel. I believe what the scriptures say, not what men want them to say. I don't waste my time trying to make apples equal oranges. You don't believe the scriptures where Paul said the gospel of grace was HIDDEN IN GOD and revealed to him. You...

    The Blended Gospel

Not what I see in the scriptures. According to the scriptures Jesus came the give the Jews a promised kingdom under a Messiah and King. Rom 15:8 (NKJ) 8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers: Jesus...

    The Blended Gospel

You are only right in this way. At this time, in this age of God's grace there is only one gospel and that is the gospel that says we are saved by faith in the shed blood of Jesus on the cross. But this gospel was not preached by Jesus or the twelve apostles. Blended! Absolutely, religious...

    The Blended Gospel

Gal 3:10-13 The Law Brings a Curse 10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them." 11 But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of...
