how can I love the lord & have faith when

God is not a maid to clean up every mess on demand. He is a parent (the divine Father), whom acknowledges His children will have challenges, that people will do horrible things, and to help them work THROUGH those challenges growing these challenges and be refined past anything we can imagine.

    Who is the son?

Uncharitably misrepresenting / slandering me doesn’t remotely convince me or anyone else to accept your POV (or see it being what’s taught in scripture). Neither is that “just using the kjv “.

    Who is the son?

I would urge you to preach with charity & obvious love & humility, and not insults/intimidation/pride/“exposing”/etc.

    Who is the son?

1 Cornithians 13:1 is also important. I’m not going to stop advocating for that too, even if it offends you.

    Who is the son?

I'm all for bringing people to Christ -- that's the highest thing anyone/thing can do. I am against things which are counter-productive to that goal. Hence why I'm against insults/attacks/"exposing" are doing the exact opposite of that because they just destroy any real conversation potential...

    Who is the son?

I do concur that disagreeing and attacking are two different things. Which is it when a person is making a claim about what another believes, and doesn't listen/care that it's not accurate? I would say that that's attacking.

    Who is the son?

I am indeed very honest and open about my faith. Even when I don't have the same interpretation of somethings as you or Barney or whomever. When a conversation includes any of the following tenets, then it is indeed wrong and sinful: 1) Looking down on another person/group 2) Speaking badly...

    Who is the son?

And each person who did that was wrong for what they did. I too have been attacked by more people in more ways than I can count, and worse offenders are usually by "Christians" trying to get me to "accept Christ like they have". But it is still wrong for you, or me, or Barney to likewise use...

    Who is the son?

Indeed. A disciple of Christ never needs to rely on scare/intimidation/"exposing" tactics. We can be respectful and accurate with how we approach others, and have insightful conversations, including with those we passionately disagree with. God alone is the Judge, and the one that truly knows...

    Who is the son?

I did. @Truther, my faith & salvation rests in Jesus Christ. He is my Lord & Savior, the everliving Son of God.

    Who is the son?

Actually, LDS Christians acknowledging your right to believe as you do is literally so important that it's one the 13 Articles of Faith: "11 We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship...

    Who is the son?

With all possible respect, I daresay I know a little bit more than you about what "Mormons" believe, having personally actively attended/studied'attending/studying for decades. Every person on this planet believes they know the Truth and that others are wrong. That's why they hold the beliefs...

    Who is the son?

The Bible = the Bible. The Book of Mormon is the Book of Mormon, not the Bible. LDS Christians aren't solo scriptura and don't limit God's words to just what's in the Bible (as if He were suddenly mute), but nothing replaces the Bible. The verision LDS Christians traditionally use is the...

    Who is the son?

Actually @Truther , the "Mormon Bible" is the King James Version straight up.

    Beyond good and evil

That insult yours was A) completely unneeded B) made completely of your totally uninformed assumptions and blatant stereotyping C) completely inaccurate. I was/am trying to have a thoughtful and respectful conversation here (yes, I completely respect the fact that you're a agnostic and ain't...

    Beyond good and evil

That is totally not an answer to my question.

    Beyond good and evil

How would you define "good" to be different than "right", and "bad" from "evil"?

    Beyond good and evil

If you want to share a thought, then go ahead.

    Beyond good and evil

Did you have any purpose in asking your question?

    Beyond good and evil

Your questioning here is completely erratic. I look at a mountain of evidence, and do believe somethings are intrinsically evil (like rape, abuse, etc). You have stated you don’t believe those things to be intrinsically evil. I acknowledge your right to believe whatever, regardless did...
