Is it possible not to sin anymore?

Yep, I sure do. Some have pretty big ministries. Andrew Wommack is one of them.

Is it possible not to sin anymore?

I don't believe in confessing sins. Most Christians still believe the spirit of Christ makes their flesh spiritual. And this is why they believe their sins are forgiven when they are born again up to that point, but must run to God to confess and repent their new sins every time they sin after...

Is God sending people straight to hell when they die, today?

I have never been taught there's an eternal soul. Such thinking sounds Catholic. Again, I don't know what this verse we are talking about is about. It just does not make sense to me. But you believe it and so I too have stuff that I really believe and not many see what I see. I stay out of the...

Well, Good Lord... we agree on something. Good Post.

    Scripture in Context

My thoughts on the first verse you listed... “but I treat my body harshly and make it my slave.” The Greek word hupopiazō ὑπωπιάζω), like almost every word, has several meanings. BDAG’s Lexicona lists three primary meanings: 1) To blacken an eye; give a black eye, strike in the face. 2) To...

Is God sending people straight to hell when they die, today?

Two things hit my mind... 1.) I believe the spirits are the evil spirits. Not captives who died in sin. There's nothing in the Bible that teaches that spirits are humans. 2.) There's no profit to have dead people come out of their graves. It does not make sense and it sticks out like a sore thumb.

Is it possible not to sin anymore?

I wrote a few pages on walking in him. I struggle trying to define it because nobody seems to get it and I think it's because we have been so ingrained on walking in our flesh and calling it spiritual that nobody knows anything different. I see it and I don't know how to teach it. Here's a few...

Is it possible not to sin anymore?

I don't follow what is in your mind and I think you don't follow what's in mine. The verses I post say whosoever abideth in him sinneth not. They don't say anything about perfection.

Is it possible not to sin anymore?

I'm going to take that as you don't know if it's 1 or 2. Forget about Jesus for a minute. Let's see if we can figure out what God is. Let's say he's Spirit. So we can add that to Jesus. Now we have 2. What's the 3rd one?

Is it possible not to sin anymore?

I don't know and I don't care. I'm only concerned with staying in the spirit of Christ. And when I'm in the spirit of Christ I am not sinning.

Is God sending people straight to hell when they die, today?

It is most likely that the significance of this death-resurrection sign is that it's a prophetic foreshadowing that points to the resurrection of everyone who believes that God raised Jesus from the dead (some see an echo here of (Ezek. 37:1214). As Leon Morris remarks concerning this sign...

Is it possible not to sin anymore?

I post verses that have us in Christ. I'm not posting verses about Christ in us or before we had the spirit of Christ. The verses I list deal with Christians who are walking in the spirit of Christ. 1 John 3 & 5 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither...

Is it possible not to sin anymore?

The word Father is not a thing. It's a name, a tile. I am not a son. I am a human man. My name is Peter and I'm not that either. Peter is a name. Some say I'm a cousin and others an Uncle. You cannot say I'm made of three parts because I'm a son, uncle and cousin. These are just names and tiles...

Is God sending people straight to hell when they die, today?

Oh I see you are now looking at verse 53 that says after his resurrection. Most conservative commentators recognize there are difficulties with the record in Matthew but just take what Matthew says at face value without commenting too much about it or offering potential solutions to those...

Is it possible not to sin anymore?

Well, Father is another word that we use for God. So do we now have 1 or 2?

Is God sending people straight to hell when they die, today?

I have not had the same training as most so I don't think it's that I'm confused. Jesus was the first to get up from the dead and stay up in the new body. So anybody getting out of a grave and staying up could not have happened before Jesus got up.

Is God sending people straight to hell when they die, today?

You lost me when you said the firstborn from the dead", is to literally say that Jesus Himself is "the First resurrection". Jesus was the first born among the dead because God raised him from the dead. That has nothing to do with the first resurrection or the book of Revelation.

Christ's sinless Head with a sinful body?

We undergo a miraculous exchange at the center of our being once we have the spirit of Christ. Who we were in Adam is no longer there. We become a new person because we are now a child of God who is in Christ. The key event causing this exchange is a death, burial, and resurrection with Christ...

Do you think American society has gone more towards the Left or the Right in recent years?

My Christian friends agree with you. I'm more of a John Adams guy... Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other. John Adams
