The Jesuits ... What is their role? Part 1 and 2

Honestly, my comment was in general. There are anti-Catholic folks on this board. There's also non-Catholics whom are friendly & respectful to Catholics. I don't know you, @FollowHim, specifically enough to say whether or not you're anti- or pro- anything.

The Jesuits ... What is their role? Part 1 and 2

Again: I'm not a Catholic. I have no personal stakes in this matter. There are people out there whom are blatant anti-Catholic, including some on this board. That's not being paranoid, rather just a stating fact. Another fact is that there are also non-Catholics posters whom aren't...

The Jesuits ... What is their role? Part 1 and 2

Paul preached Truth, the right ways, and brought goodness to the table. That's radically different than person A lecturing person B about the "evil" things A thinks B believes. Dude: Catholics believe in Jesus and His sacrifice on the cross. I'm sure that @Mungo , would be totally cool telling...

The Jesuits ... What is their role? Part 1 and 2

A disciple of Christ can advocate Truth and His goodness, sans any bashing.

The Jesuits ... What is their role? Part 1 and 2

Individual Catholics aren't stupid people who m are being deceived by some mustache-twirling head RCC person. Each person is has their own thoughts, study, research, and devotion to Christ. (Well, there are Catholic individuals whom don't really think things through, but that's the same...

The Jesuits ... What is their role? Part 1 and 2

There's a difference between honestly discussing differences in beliefs, versus ignorantly bashing/de-humanizing/demoizing others. For example, I'm not Catholic. I very much disagree with some Catholic beliefs. But I can still acknowledge Catholic individuals whom love Christ and are strive...

The Jesuits ... What is their role? Part 1 and 2

Someday, you're come to realize you don't need to demoinze others, but can courageously actually see them. Not just me, but Catholics, other Protestants, non-Christians, and everyone.

The Jesuits ... What is their role? Part 1 and 2

@justbyfaith, I do pray for you and everyone else on here. Our mutual Lord and Savior is king of all, and we each should grow closer to Him every day.

The Jesuits ... What is their role? Part 1 and 2

(I'm not a Catholic here). Roman Catholics deny the falsehoods anti-Catholics hatefully spread. And they should: such is standing for truthfulness. Non-Catholics have zero reason to smear Catholics, and can truthfully & respectfully acknowledge that Catholic beliefs actually are, while...

The Jesuits ... What is their role? Part 1 and 2

Unfortunately, some people take comfort in false information about what other people believe -- hence the constant bashing, refusal to get facts straight, and see people as real people (rather than a cartoon-ized "other" villain). Such is people in thier mortal weakness. Honestly, the best...

Scripture, God's Greatest Gift to Mankind

Suffice it to say I find your beliefs here to be contrary to scripture and God’s Truth and twisted and dishonest. Very passionately so. I can’t find a way to discuss such without strong language and this has been going no where from the start.

Scripture, God's Greatest Gift to Mankind

That's not the impression I get from reading Anthony's posts.

Scripture, God's Greatest Gift to Mankind

God >> scripture. if the title of this thread was "the second greatest gift to man", then there would be much fewer protests.

Scripture, God's Greatest Gift to Mankind

I'm sorry, but this theology.... I can't give a respectful reply to this. Suffice it to say I passionately disagree, and find to it be contradictory to God's Truth. It's Christ that saves a person. It's God that testifies of Truth. A person is not saved by their ability to ace a theology test.

Scripture, God's Greatest Gift to Mankind

I have addressed your flawed premise multiple times now: a person is not saved by their ability to pass a theology test. A four-year-old who's never read a word of the Bible, and has a terrible academic understanding of God, can indeed have their heart touched by the Spirit & accept Christ...

Scripture, God's Greatest Gift to Mankind

Antony, you're completely ignoring the actual point of disagreement here. You call scripture the greatest gift. John and I and others call Jesus Christ, the divine Son of God and Savior of the world, the greatest gift The messenger is not more important than the message.

Scripture, God's Greatest Gift to Mankind

@Anthony D'Arienzo , nobody is disagree with with the obvious fact that scripture is important. That's not remotely what the disagreement is about.

Scripture, God's Greatest Gift to Mankind

There is an idea taught by "anti-cult" ministers that Christ is defined by a person's academic knowledge of Him. The typical debate platform is then to say that a person whom as a different theological understanding of some part of the Gospel is then worshiping a "different Jesus" due to these...

Scripture, God's Greatest Gift to Mankind

Anthony, no one here is doubting that scripture is super-super important. However, there is disagreement on the following topics: - That scripture is the #1 most important thing. John and I both point to Christ being the most important thing & the center point of our devotion. Scripture is a...

Scripture, God's Greatest Gift to Mankind

Didn't answer my question. Do you worship the Bible? If not, then don't put it first.
