    DISCERNMENT

I don't know why you have to descend into sarcasm so much. I have been a Christian for 66 years and from day one my mentors pressed on me the daily study of scripture for which I am so thankful for. Later on, I attended a Brethren Bible College for two years and obtained my Diploma in Theology...

What are Your Feelings on Tithes

That is a very weak argument, to say that the saints are not the church. The church consists of the saints. I believe that you are therefore grasping at straws. I will address the part that is specific to me. It is not an argument to say what the scripture says. It is a fact. In my studies...

What are Your Feelings on Tithes

At Bible College, I was taught OT by a converted Jew. If you want to know what that involves it means there was NOTHING that he did not know about the OT because he had knowledge of it as a Jew and as a Christian. He taught us that Jews were required to tithe 30% over the year, not 10%.

What are Your Feelings on Tithes

It is not an exception to the rule as there is no rule for the true believer to make an exception of.

What are Your Feelings on Tithes

Precisely. For the true believer 100% is required to be made available to God as and when he wants it.

What are Your Feelings on Tithes

It says in Luke 11:42 that we ought not to leave our tithing undone. Sorry but you have got that one wrong. He told the PHARISEES to not leave their tithing undone and not to forget to be kind to people which they were not. Luk 11:42 You Pharisees are in for trouble! You give God a tenth of...

If you are such a buddy of the Holy Spirit, can I suggest that you talk to him to tell us that we are all wrong and you are right?

What are Your Feelings on Tithes

One additional thought. The tithe demand arose because churches started to have paid employees and the only way they could guarantee an income to pay then was to get people to give a certain amount on a regular basis. This way they could ascertain how much income they were going to get each...
