If our interpretation of scripture sidesteps common sense, did we get it right?

John was a prophet born with the spirit right from birth which the Scripture says never happened before. Jesus was a man born under the Old Testament system without spirit. John who was a prophet functioning under the old covenant was appointed by God to prepare and confirm the promises made to...

Abiding In Christ Necessary for Eternal Life

I do not know why we have so many Christians who believe the entire Bible is written directly to them, the Church of God. There is nothing in the Bible to indicate such thinking, and I would like to add nothing could be further from the truth. It's true the Word of God was written for everyone...

Abiding In Christ Necessary for Eternal Life

He's talking to Gentiles. And not Christians... 13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:

Abiding In Christ Necessary for Eternal Life

I'm an expert in the Epistles and know they were written mostly for Christians and do teach all that we can know about what we have in Christ. But every now and again they started yelling about what the unbelievers were doing and thinking along with mentioning what we were before we believed...

Abiding In Christ Necessary for Eternal Life

Nobody is thinking Christians cannot fall into unbelief. But they can't fall out of their new birth and be cut off from God.

Abiding In Christ Necessary for Eternal Life

Thank you for sharing... Much of the Roman Catholic doctrine was assimilated into Protestantism and is still being passed along as Christian groups continue to split off from one another. In a nutshell that is why even the independent church in your neighborhood today most probably believes...

Give me the verse and let me look at it.

Abiding In Christ Necessary for Eternal Life

These guys were Preachers... Apostles teaching to both Christians and new people like everyone else does. Do you think Romans 10:9-10 was written to believes or unbelievers?

Abiding In Christ Necessary for Eternal Life

It makes perfect sense that he's talking to Gentiles. He's telling them it's about Christ now. You need to get the spirit of Christ in you and the Jews refused. And if God cut them off because they refused. Then he will also cut you Gentiles off too if you refuse the spirit of Christ that you...

Abiding In Christ Necessary for Eternal Life

Peter went to preach to the Jews to see if he could get them saved. Paul went to the Gentiles to try to do the same. There's 3 different classifications of people in the Bible. 1.) Jews 2.) Gentiles 3.) The church of God (Christians)

Abiding In Christ Necessary for Eternal Life

I can't get past the first sentence with you. I don't see 1 John 3:23-24 the way you do.

Abiding In Christ Necessary for Eternal Life

Oh boy where do I start. If you don't have the spirit of Christ. Then you are not in the vine and therefore have no everlasting life. The Gentiles are not Christian because they have not yet been born again. After you are saved with the spirit of Christ then you can bare fruit which is called...

Abiding In Christ Necessary for Eternal Life

Do you have a verse that says we are not supplied and cut off if we don't abide in him?

Abiding In Christ Necessary for Eternal Life

I don't see what you see. 1 John 3:23-24 is saying those in Christ walk with him because they have his spirit. I don't know how you get that we need to walk with him to get the spirit. Well, I do know why you believe that. It's what the Catholics believe.

Is God sending people straight to hell when they die, today?

Are bodies are made out of mostly water. That's what Jesus meant when he said born of water. It means being born the first time. No water mentioned in Acts 2:38 No water mentioned in Acts 10:48 No water mentioned in Acts 22:16 No water mentioned in Galatians 3:27

Is God sending people straight to hell when they die, today?

I'm not changing God's Word. God changed His Word with the coming of Jesus Christ. We are now in the New Covenant.

Abiding In Christ Necessary for Eternal Life

1 John 5:11 has nothing to do with us in Christ. It's saying the life is in Christ. 1 John 3:23-24 is not saying you obey and then get the spirit. It's saying you obey because you have the spirit.

Abiding In Christ Necessary for Eternal Life

I do not agree that abiding in him has anything to do with salvation. Christ in you does because it's birth. You in him is not the same as he in you. You in him is walking in the spirit. Christ in you is being born again. The reason this is not known is because we believe the Catholic doctrine...
