    A question for mormons.

Giving your whole self is really the only thing you can do, and the only thing that remotely matters.

    A question for mormons.

Initiating is an action. Of course, God loved us first and moved first.

    A question for mormons.

Surrendering is an action. Having faith is an action. Repenting is an action. Accepting Him is an action. Becoming is an action. Following Him is an action. Worshiping Him is an action. The Christian life isn't about shallow dead faith/words, but real living moving faith wherein one gives...

    A question for mormons.

    1) Doctrine of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is not defined simply because so and so said something. That includes Joseph Smith and Brigham Young. I'm Christ's disciple, not another persons. 2) It's really annoying how when somebody who's never eve step foot in a church...

    A question for mormons.

This is the false understanding: a person does something magical, they earn salvation, then grace kicks in as the person just phones in being a disciple of Christ. That's totally wrong in every way. Correct understanding: a person hears of Christ, and hears the Holy Spirit testifying of Him...

    A question for mormons.

After decades of studying it, I daresay I understand beliefs of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints a little better than you ;)

    A question for mormons.

I'm not saved until I accept Christ is my Lord & Savior. I love Him from the bottom of my heart. -- That's all I or anyone else can do. And a person should indeed do so today. And keep loving Him & following Him, every single day.

    A question for mormons.

LDS Christians aren't Protestant Christians. I don't personally strive to become Catholic Christian or a Protestant Christian or an Orthodox Christian, because (saying this with all possible respect) I have some major theological disagreements there. But I do strive to better understand my...

    A question for mormons.

Discipleship is a lifetime+ journey. There's no "clock off, I'm done" point. When a person is new in their walk with Christ, they are indeed saved and walking empowered by Him. That love and relationships deepens through time, and they learn more and more, more and more witnesses from the...

    A question for mormons.

What LDS Christians do not believe in: cheap grace. The idea that a person can shallowly say "yeah I believe in God", and then continue on their exact same sinful ways with zero change whatsoever. That's not real conversion or discipleship. What member of the Church of Jesus Christ do...

Is it a sin to use contraception?

Elective abortion: the 99.9% of cases wherein people voluntarily have sex and didn't use proper birth control. Non-elective: mom's life is in grave danger, or rape. This cases abortion could be considered, but things still should be a matter of intense prayer and thoroughly checking for other...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

This is just gotten too frustrating for the both of us to continue.

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

Whether or not you agree with my belief doesn't change the facts of what it I believe. To be blunt: until you point-blank acknowledge the facts about what I believe (that salvation is a gift), I'm not being understood and I don't a rat's tail about your critiquing things not understood.

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

Are you willing to acknowledge that a person can not believe in OSAS, and still believe that salvation is a gift of grace & not earned?

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

I missed this earlier-- That's you pushing your thoughts on someone else. It's a bad idea. As we've thoroughly discussed now: I (a non-OSAS person) do believe that salvation is a gift. That's just a statement of fact. Your thoughts don't change it.

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

Some people, being flawed creatures with limited understanding, will try to earn something. That's just them being flawed creatures, and frankly irrelevant to the actual conversation here.

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

Cool. Back to my original statement: Everyone believe that salvation is a gift from God. Nobody believes it's earned. Cool.

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

Cool, solid "no". We're in agreement there. Both believing that salvation comes from grace, a gift, and not earned. Ok, obviously you grew and got better. But my question was meant did God & God's gift of salvation somehow become more powerful because you accepted it. The answer is "no"...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

I say that you are not listening because i see no evidence of it. Did you "earn" salvation when you accepted God's gift of salvation? Does His gift somehow get better when you accept it? Does His gift somehow get worse when another rejects it? I'm not you. You're talking with your old self...
