The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

How can we discuss that when you don't understand what i believe and aren't listening? I do not believe a person earns salvation. I believe that it's a gift from God. A person can accept or reject that gift. Their choice in no way affects the majesty of the gift, means somebody earned it, or...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

From the evidence here, you aren't' remotely interested in trying to understand my view-- just informing me why you're right. You of course have that right. But it automatically negate all conversation or relationships. You don't even need me here for it!

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

I'll go with one example: I am not a OSAS person. I do believe that salvation is a gift from God. I'm not "earning" it-- such an absurdity is laughable actually. Salvation is a gift from God. And it indeed transforming and foundational to everything. If "Bob" chooses to decline that...

Are you interested in understanding another person's view?

    Catholic Charismatic Renewal

Bashing is much more defined by *how* something is said, rather than what is actually bieng said. IF a person want to evangelize to another, that needs to be done with love, respect, and humility. Not "I'm right, you're wrong, I'm going to stand at you and insult/lecture you now"- that's...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

Whether or not you personally believe it, it is a common view among other people (which is what I was stating). That's a fact that can't be denied. Note: obviously you can believe that this common view is incorrect. Truth isn't determined by popular vote. Nobody believes "God failed". Are...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

There are plenty of people (majority of Christians) whom believe in salvation through grace, but don't believe in OSAS. Even within the OSAS camp: evidence of that change is part of the theological package. If somebody claims to be a saved Christian in your own congregation, but then either...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

    Again, that's a strawman argument.

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

The issue of Once Saved Always Saved (OSAS) or not is a separate one.

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

Helping you out here-- All Christians believe that. All Christians believe that Mary was a virigin at Jesus's conception and through His birth. The idea that Mary remained virgin throughout her entire life is pretty much a Catholic-only belief. <Fast fowarding here> Hater's going to hate...

Is it a sin to use contraception?

Essentially yes. "Natural Family Planning" is what I've seen it most commonly referred to in Catholic circles. Obviously I do have my own thoughts on the matter.

Is it a sin to use contraception?

Typo- I meant NFP, Natural Family Planning.

Is it a sin to use contraception?

If we're talking methods that don't kill embryos (like condemns), vast majority of Christian people will say "no" to this. The few dissenting voices will be some conservative Catholics. But even those people will embrace other forms of birth control (NFP, etc). Majority of Christians are also...

How big is Jesus Christ now?

Truther: your statements here are very inaccurate and offensive.

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

This whole thing is a straw man argument. Everyone believes that salvation is a gift of God and no one can "earn" it. Everyone also believes that if you say you are saved that you acts in life should show some evidence of that. Nobody actually believes in cheap grace (talk only), and nobody...

Where in the bible does it say I need to use it

There is a lot of chicken & egg going on here. :) The Spirit testifies of the Truthfullness of scripture, scripture is understood through the Spirit and testifies of the Spirit.

Where in the bible does it say I need to use it

The above is a statement of Truth. Actually not. The Spirit comes first in importance, not scripture. Totally disagree with you there.

Where in the bible does it say I need to use it

I do know people whom do hat, literally and (much more commonly) metaphorically. As to God talking: a while ago we went over how God doesn't change. He talked to His people in the past, I do indeed believe that continues today.

Where in the bible does it say I need to use it

I'm putting a greater emphasis on God guiding directly and not Sola Scriptura.

Where in the bible does it say I need to use it

I'd much rather take the option: A person listens first and foremost to God. Have Him guide their understanding of scripture & what is True. All other human teachers and everything else comes in later.
