Faith and Food: Exploring Biblical Eating Practices

Faith and Food: Exploring Biblical Eating Practices I guess it depends on how big your bible is; a small one you could munch in a few mouthfuls with cornflakes and milk. A big one, on the other hand might need a full roast. hmmx1:

The Senior Pastor Is Most Important

Matthew 20:24-28 When the ten heard about this, they were indignant with the two brothers. 25Jesus called them together and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. 26Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to...

How can you find the truth when biblically supported views contradict?

How can you find the truth when biblically supported views contradict? 'Biblical' is subjective. One could ask, what or who's Biblical view? Unless one interprets through the lens of Jesus (if they know what that means) one will inevitably come up with a view which is deemed 'Biblical' yet...

    Government Shutdown

It always stops at the dollar...even for those who claim to be 'not of this World'

70th Week and Day of the Lord are separate events.

I guess it does but so does building systems which oppose the purposes of God. Patting yourself on the back because of all the hard work you've put in is just another 'look at my good works' trip. The paradigm you are locked onto misses the mark and does not allow you to see the core principle...

What is the state of the dead in the afterlife?

It is positional, this is true yet it is not empirical. For who then will it be empirical....and when? I understand the scripture to say it will be empirical for those who trust God's declaration of the positional.....and when will this happen? ....at the last trump. 1 Corinthians 15:50-54 and...

What is the state of the dead in the afterlife?

Yes, by faith, not by empirical experience. God sees ALL as having passed from death to life IN Jesus. This is good news, yet this is not the case in empirical experience. What we will experience at Jesus return is yet to be realised for those who trust God to fulfil his promises in us...when...

    God forgives.... the Law condemns.

The curse of the law is what? Is it the Law itself?

What is the state of the dead in the afterlife?

The promise of what we (God's people)shall become is yet to become empirical reality. The present is subject to mortality (not immortality) Eternal life (immortality) in a changed body becomes the reality of God's people when Jesus returns ...as per your quote in 1 Corinthians 15.

70th Week and Day of the Lord are separate events.

Oh, that's unfortunate! Stick around, you might learn or unlearn something.....or maybe ask some questions?

70th Week and Day of the Lord are separate events.

70th Week and Day of the Lord are separate events. I guess Saturday is not really the continuation of Friday. Saturday will be realised sometime in the future. All you folk who believe that Saturday follows Friday are mistaken if not deceived. Give me the time and courtesy while I develop a...

What is the state of the dead in the afterlife?

Timothy 6:16 (God) who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see.

Go and Sin no more...is this possible?

You must sleep well Jack, with all these texts you prioritise and glorify, running around in your head!

Go and Sin no more...is this possible?

Jack, you clearly do not understand the difference between what is stated and what is understood. If I told you a mother said of her baby, 'I love you so much I could eat you up', you, in all likelihood, would understand (interpret) that as meaning she is a cannibal.

WHO ARE THE MANY THAT ARE FORGIVEN?

Yes, I do. On the note of 'many', make enquiries for yourself. You will find as I stated earlier. To back this up, see Romans 5:15-19. In these 5 verses comparisons between Adam and Jesus are stated 5 times.....just so we don't miss it.

WHO ARE THE MANY THAT ARE FORGIVEN?

If you've never heard it explained, 'many' is more accurately and validly translated 'the many' .....meaning ALL

What is the state of the dead in the afterlife?

You've clearly never thought about what a loving God means, Jack....and it appears just as clear that you are not interested in knowing!
