When to look for the rapture of the church

That's not necessarily a bad thing! You know...the whole 'someone's an arm, another person's a leg' thing. I suppose we have to trust that God has made us how and who we are. :)

When to look for the rapture of the church

Bit like scientist say climate change is real?

When to look for the rapture of the church

It depends on how you look at it. I actually agree that Israel was in sight for this prophecy...and so would Paul. However, how Israel saw itself and expected it's future to unfold...and how many people now see Israel and expect Israels future to unfold, is not what we see happening in the NT...

When to look for the rapture of the church

Seriously? I'm sorry...but its late, and your disjointed sentences are just too hard to make much sense of. We? This or that? Not We? Not at all? See how that sort of jumps. Maybe you can run it all together as you're answering in your head, but for me, reading it on a page...it just comes out...

When to look for the rapture of the church

I'm sorry, but I can't help but point out how illogical most of what you've just said is. First...no matter "how much I am shown from scripture"? The biggest problem I have with Dispensationalism is that no one seems capable to back anything up with scripture...no matter how many times I...

When to look for the rapture of the church

Well...let's just look at the progression of thought through the NT: I tell you, something greater than the temple is here. -Matthew 12:6 Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” The Jews then said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple...

When to look for the rapture of the church

Again, sorry, I'm not quite sure of your point. Do you mean, with their "mortal soul" and the "second death", that they indeed cease to be at that second death? Ok...I was with you and agreed with pretty much everything up until the end. What happens if the the unsaved person's soul dies? Is...

When to look for the rapture of the church

Before I get into this, I have to say sorry if I don't get to all your posts or questions. I'm sort of really busy at the moment and finding it hard to find the time to spend here. Dispensationalists or no, I think a point has still been missed. Christ IS David's heir. No one can deny that. And...

When to look for the rapture of the church

It's not that there's a problem having Satan live past the beast and false prophet...not at all. Let me try and give you another example of why chronology is tricky in Revelation: When he opened the sixth seal, I looked, and behold, there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as...

When to look for the rapture of the church

 I would LOVE to keep bashing my head against what is the best translation of Tereo Ek is, but to be perfectly up-front and honest with, it's just not worth my time or energy...and I'll tell you why. From my perspective...from the Amillennial view....we are already IN the Tribulation...

When to look for the rapture of the church

I suppose this is a sort of an ongoing problem. For me...I've posted SO many verses plotting out, painstakingly, my view. Usually getting me nowhere...but, you know, that's sort of par for the course, I suppose. But sure...maybe YOU haven't seen all those verses I posted...mostly to CoreIssue...

When to look for the rapture of the church

A literal occurance that is seen in 70AD. The context of the conversation is clear...if Christ is speaking of a literal temple, he is speaking about the one they are gazing upon then, and the one he is warning them will be torn down stone by stone. And that "Hebrew" audience that Jesus was...

When to look for the rapture of the church

Word! Here's what I don't get. Literal can be good. Christ 'literally' came and died for us. We all believe he rose from the dead, literally. This is right and good and what scripture teaches. But we can't and shouldn't ignore that Christianity is a faith of spirituality. Our God is a Spirit, he...

When to look for the rapture of the church

Hmmm. Not sure you're representing that quite correctly. Like God hisses and recoils like a vampire does to light. It's more like...sure, he can BE IN the presence of sin, he's God, he can do all...but woe to the sinful one in HIS presence. So...in that scenario, God would be the sun and the...

When to look for the rapture of the church

Oh, brother, this again! Haven't we been over this before? Fine, let's rehash: Because you have kept my word about patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell on the earth. -Revelation 3:10 téreó: to watch over, to guard...

When to look for the rapture of the church

Actually, at times, when reason, patience, bible verses and every other thing you can think of, have been used, and still the person in question tosses SHOUTY words at you like someone with tourettes and thinks stating things with the word "factually" in front of them again and again to prove...

When to look for the rapture of the church

I honestly don't know what to say to that, because understanding that 'simple truth' would in no way let 'everything else' fall into place. I'm sorry, but there is just so much about Dispensationalism that it 'out of place', it would take much more than that. I understand YOU think it's when...

When to look for the rapture of the church

I wouldn't say that's entirely accurate. We see in different occasions where Christ and then his apostles interpret things in the NT that were seen differently in the OT, before Christ came. The Temple, for example. In the OT, the Temple was, obviously, that building. But throughout the NT we...

When to look for the rapture of the church

Well then. It's now completely obvious, isn't it? God's church is going to be stuffed into an ARK and LIFTED above the earth...in the CLOUDS. Eh gads! Why didn't I EVER see it BEFORE??
