I'm an old KJV guy. But in the last 5 years I started looking at older ones and then when I want to get a feeling for a verse I might check 30 other translations. The newer ones are really really bad because men wrote them to fit whatever religion they were in at the time.

The new modern Bibles change so much of the old text to fit their religion that I believe there not even Bibles anymore. Some of the newer ones that came out about 50 years ago say in Roman 13 stuff to indicate that no government is in power unless God put it there.

The translation you are referring to was not written by Paul. It mostly started showing up in Bible copies in the early to mid 1970's. That was a long time after Paul first penned it in Romans 13.

From what I have read I would have to say not long. But long enough for the Shepherds to find him there.
