The Two Witnesses Came and Went Thousands of Years Ago

A teacher is teaching the arithmetic of addition to a class of children saying 1+1=2. He repeats it several times using various illustrations so it is not misunderstood. A child chimes in, Sir, do you believe in numbers?

The Two Witnesses Came and Went Thousands of Years Ago

The text says we became, it doesn't say we received. When power (energy) is connected to a globe does it become a light or receive a light? When breath (spirit/ life force/ energy) is connected to dust does it become a soul or receive a soul? Breath is not an entity in itself Reverse the...

The Two Witnesses Came and Went Thousands of Years Ago

You write as if you understand what Jesus meant. Perhaps you can enlighten us?

The Two Witnesses Came and Went Thousands of Years Ago

You are a living soul. We are living souls. To reiterate, we are souls, we do not have souls. Misunderstand this and you will do violence to the texts you quote and muddle the straight forward into supporting a delusion. Genesis 2:7 'The Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground...

    Moses

Could it be that Moses was resurrected? ....after all, he was seen talking with Jesus as was Elijah on the Mt of Transfiguration. If this is the case, no wonder Moses' grave was never found or will never be found just as Jesus' grave will never be found. ....and yes, Elijah was bodily taken to...

In the OT, God said do not eat the pork.

Yes, we are free to eat what we want. We are also free to divorce each other and we are free to jump off cliffs. Hallelujah to freedom but don't leave your intelligence behind....there are consequences to all our choices.

The Two Witnesses Came and Went Thousands of Years Ago

The Patriarchs never heard of Jesus nevertheless Job comments of hope, (Job 19:25-27) 'I know that my redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand on the earth. And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God; I myself will see him with my own eyes—I, and not another...

Are Christians the biggest barrier to a renewed relationship with God?

I would then ask, what is the witness God has given of himself? The scriptural records are 2-4000 yrs old written from unfamiliar cultures/ languages. We need a reference which is beyond 'academic'.

Are Christians the biggest barrier to a renewed relationship with God?

Do we then deduct that God who we understand as all knowing made a bad move or do we reconsider the words Moses wrote by reinterpreting through the lens of Jesus?

Are Christians the biggest barrier to a renewed relationship with God?

so you would blame God by saying it was a botched creation after he declared it very good?

Are Christians the biggest barrier to a renewed relationship with God?

Truth never travels solo. It is always accompanied by the Holy Spirit.....and yes, it matters not the status we dish out amongst ourselves.... this status carries zero weight when it comes to truth.

Are Christians the biggest barrier to a renewed relationship with God?

Sooo, using your rationale, it is easy to deduct that God had nefarious designs. I can't accept that....particularly in the light of 1 John 1:5 'This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all'

Are Christians the biggest barrier to a renewed relationship with God?

In a free Universe there is always the possibility of poor choice, otherwise it is not free. Lucifer made such a one and insisted on sticking to it. Do we assume that God did not try to bring him around again? I can't imagine it; not if God is love....yet pride dictated his choices and continue...

Are Christians the biggest barrier to a renewed relationship with God?

Do you find my previously stated point of view below unreasonable? We don't have a record but it is highly likely that A&E were informed by angels about the wily foe who would attempt seduce/ deceive and join his cause. It is also unreasonable to assume that God left A&E on their own without...

Are Christians the biggest barrier to a renewed relationship with God?

We don't have a record but it is highly likely that A&E were informed by angels about the wily foe who would attempt seduce/ deceive and join his cause. It is also unreasonable to assume that God left A&E on their own without warning. From what we can deduce, large number of angels took the...

Are Christians the biggest barrier to a renewed relationship with God?

The madness of many defies reason or any rational. Even while All are in Christ just as they are in Adam. Even while forgiveness is free and unasked for, many will choose death because the righteousness of Jesus (even for them) is not attractive or wanted. God does not and will not force his...

Are Christians the biggest barrier to a renewed relationship with God?

Ahhhh, what a bugger! I once intended to drive home safely after having a few drinks and blow me down, my right hand turn across the carriageway was cut off by a driver who just magically appeared. The claim it wasn't my intention never held up and resulted in a mess of bent metal.
