How to respond to the idea, that Christ is being slowed down, by a believer? Like how would you respond to the guilt, that your work is unfinished?

Hi there, So something you may not know about me, but I have a habit of mulling questions of the faith, over in my mind. I basically do a stress test "do I believe enough?" "how would I express that faith differently?" I want a tight, easy to grasp relationship with God, with Jesus. But I was...

Why mRNA vaccines are so dangerous -- the science

My objective opinion is that taking the holistic heal-itself process of the immune system, was only slightly helped by a vaccine and two boosters, once I got sick. I say this because I had symptoms lasting a couple of weeks after the infection period. If I had not had the vaccine and the two...

Have an addiction to McDonald's? You are like me!

Hi there, So this is intended as a thread in which to share the burden of being addicted to McDonald's, but also to brainstorm ways of beating the addiction. Off the top of my head, it might help to meditate on MacDonald's food, as if it is decaying and dying - that is a Tibetan Buddhist...

    Removed Thread.

As a rule, partially right most of the time is moral. So if you are swearing but not all the time, its closer to moral and if you are speaking sense enough to be partially right, it is closer to moral. Of course, in Proverbs it says "better to be condemned, than to not know what love is" (from...

    Is believing/faith a work ?

It's a work if you believe it, to the end; unfinished faith, is not a work.

    Is believing/faith a work ?

We may do work in addition to our faith... The works are all the more reason to believe we are saved, but they can't substitute our salvation. (By God's grace) both the works and the spirit of them! That's something you can't do, with faith on its own, but if its not working, you need more faith!

    Unanswered Question Concerning Jesus' Deity

Tie a knot in the rope, if you like: the point I am making is that it can be used as a metaphor for understanding Christ's deity.

    Unanswered Question Concerning Jesus' Deity

I'm just saying don't forget "the difference" over "the essence". If you need a rope, you can always unscramble a ball of rope, it's just harder to see it for what it is, if you do.

    Is believing/faith a work ?

Now you are talking sense. The old man needs to learn to receive instruction, that's true. That instruction is there, when we get to Heaven. What you will have difficulty with, probably, is that having received instruction, the old man must learn to serve the new man.

    Is believing/faith a work ?

No, you are not getting it. After you start with a gas car, you must steer.

    Unanswered Question Concerning Jesus' Deity

Just that what is deformity of a rope, may be conformity to a ball of rope. You can't say "no we can't have a ball of rope, because we already have a rope" - that was the Pharisees' problem.

How do you know you are "saved" or "not saved"

The letter of the law does not provide exact details on our ascension to Heaven, that doesn't mean we won't get there. We get there by faith. So it is by faith we say "I was saved". What comes is as what goes, Jesus couldn't say the exact time He would return to Earth, but that doesn't mean He...

Is Jesus the Word of God in your opinion? (scripture included)

Jesus is not just God or Word, but God or Word crucified or heard (respectively). It sounds complicated at first, but basically this is why the mystery of God is so hard to understand in principle. God is saying "I heard you because I have heard everything" "I have justified you, because I...

Why did Jesus tell the thief he would be with Him in paradise that same day?

I don't understand why you have to make it complicated: the murderer had nothing against Jesus; having nothing against Jesus is bliss, if Jesus blesses you back, it's paradise? Jesus suffered the death of paradise, which went on to be the resurrection - it is the resurrection that gives hope...

    Is believing/faith a work ?

We may be saved by faith, but we only keep our salvation if we work, It is the desire of the Holy Spirit to work out our salvation, within us - it is He who prompts us to do the work that we do. It's like someone writing a cheque, the cheque passes for money, but it is not explicitly money -...

    Is believing/faith a work ?

Faith is as a work; keeping faith together with work, works out our Salvation. If I said "I have Salvation without work" I would be a liar; if I said "I have work without Salvation" I would be reprobate. But if my God says "this one has done as I commanded" surely, I have a reward in faith...

    Unanswered Question Concerning Jesus' Deity

If you twist a piece of rope, into a ball, the rope does not need to have been a ball already, the act of twisting makes it one.

Why belief in a god is an unfalsifiable claim that serves no purpose

1 Corinthinans 1:27 "God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise" God is less of a mystery to me - as a scribe - but He is still a mystery. If I am honest with myself, it is my ego that gets in the way of me believing (or trusting) more.

Don't fall into the trap, of thinking your faith is solely your doing - it is your doing in part, but praise God daily

You begin a journey by faith. As Martin Luther King said "Faith is climbing the stairs, when you don't see the top of the staircase". That is, the Lord starts ordering your steps, another way (another way to the way He did to begin with).

    Imputed Righteousness.

To the OP: I think you need to emphasise that the righteousness that is imputed to us, is the righteousness we have been given for life. It is not a one time gift for part of our life. When you are twenty, it is the righteousness that was waiting; when you are thirty, it is the same...
