Totally agreed that theology is super important (which is the root of denominations). I'm just highlighting that a person's ability to pass a theology test is NOT what gives salvation. We can't go saying "X group is not saved!" or something like that.

A denomination is simply a group of people whom have a similar understanding of the Gospel, usually with a special focus in one area. The label is something humans just slap on their to make describing thing easier. They're all Christian: because we are saved by Christ. Yes, Protestants...

I can't speak for @DNB , but I wasn't saying or thinking anybody is "in the wrong place". I do like to expand understanding of what people mean though, and faith in God. That's why I was asking you questions as to what you believe.

Affecting doctrinal understanding is something very different than affecting salvation. Docterine and scripture are super important , but they are not what saves. Christ alone saves.

Except they are denominational words, whether or not you acknowledge it. You are a Calvinist. Which is a Christian (obviously), but a certain denomination of Christianity with a certain school of thought specifically around pre-destination and limited atonement. Many other Christians also...

I do that too-- we all make that mistake sometimes. Kind of like butt-dialing someone. But the repeated way @Seasoned by Grace is doing it shows that's not what's happening.

It's actually my question for you: do you believe that a person can disagree with your denomination's interpretation of scripture (which yes, that's what this is) and still be saved? Would you care to answer?

But you're promoting the doctrine of Calvin here on this very thread. What if somebody studies the Bible earnestly & extensively in prayer and disagrees with Calvin's teaching? Will you then say that they are not saved?
