Virgin Mary Had Other Children After Jesus

I'm just clarify LDS Christian views here. :)

Virgin Mary Had Other Children After Jesus

LDS Christian view: Mary was virgin before her pregnancy, during the pregnancy, through Christ's birth, but not after her wedding with Joseph. There doesn't have to be sex involved for Christ to be the literal Son of the Father. Heck, nowadays, even us lame humans can cause a child to be...

Virgin Mary Had Other Children After Jesus

Actually not. "Mormons" believe Mary was a virgin. No! You and I just went over this thoroughly!

The Council of Trent and its support of paganism.

Speaking as a non-Catholic person who doesn't beive the Lord's Supper is literally blood & flesh-- I don't remotely find the Catholic position to be idolatry and find such a suggestion very offensive on behalf of Catholics. I do believe that Catholics are mistaken in their interpretation, but...

    Jesus the ventriloquist?

I'll send you a PM in a bit. You're right about not thread jacking.

    Jesus the ventriloquist?

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and very open about that. LDS Christians have their misconceptions about what other folks believe (just like any other group of humans is prone to have). But it's not that Athanasian Christians believe in "three gods". Rather...

    Jesus the ventriloquist?

Inaccurate from the LDS Christian side of things. I won't comment on the JW part.

    Jesus the ventriloquist?

Ok. Obviously I disagree, but I also thank you for taking the time to answer my question and explain your view to me.

    Jesus the ventriloquist?

Longer than needed, but much better than reading a marathon of posts. So, correct me where I’m wrong, here. essentially your Christolgy, is that Christ is God’s Son, and favored. But He’s not divine the same way the Father is, not always existent. Correct?

    Jesus the ventriloquist?

@DNB to be honest, I dislike reading long posts-- I feel that it frequently delutes the point that's trying to be conveyed. Could you give me a short sum up of how your views differ from some of the others here.

    Hello

    Howdy!

    Jesus the ventriloquist?

Sure, we'll keep this for a different discussion.

    Jesus the ventriloquist?

Nonsense. He is the Son of God, always has been, always will be. (Aside: LDS Christians have a lot of misconceptions about Nicene Christians, just like the vise versa).
  14. J

    Jesus the ventriloquist?

For the record: LDS Christians believe that the Father, Son, and Spirit are three different persons in one God. And the Nicine Creed is not scripture nor not the foundation If Christianity.

Pagan Tongues VS God's Real Gift of Tongues

    Again, I respectfully disagree.

Pagan Tongues VS God's Real Gift of Tongues

Each person heard the word of God in their own tongue, by the power of God. Simple as that. There's no mention of babbling or stuff like that. Just people hearing the word of God in their own tongue.

Pagan Tongues VS God's Real Gift of Tongues

I understand what you're saying and I understand why you're seeing things that way. I just respectfully disagree with that interpretation.

Pagan Tongues VS God's Real Gift of Tongues

With all due respect, when I read Act 2 and other scriptural passages, I don't see babbling. I see people being spoken to in their own native tongues.

Pagan Tongues VS God's Real Gift of Tongues

I was going off the term "glossolalia" being the... (pardon me I can't think of better way to say this) nonsensical babblings which some denominations practice. Not God granting a person the ability to speak Hindi to share His Gospel with a Hindi person. And yes, such is a miraculous gift of...
