When Tempted, Giving over to [Willful] Sin equates to Eternal Death, not Eternal Life.

Please follow the whole thread. I was telling to a post that maintains that in order to be saved you or I must be perfect. My reply made no mention of not being repentant or any thing you raised, in short your reply was incorrect and unnecessary.

When Tempted, Giving over to [Willful] Sin equates to Eternal Death, not Eternal Life.

That is not and never has been a condition for salvation, if it was then no one including you would be saved for we are all sinners, not perfect.

(China)is this spiritual? or just literal?

No it's just ones fears reading into scripture.

When Tempted, Giving over to [Willful] Sin equates to Eternal Death, not Eternal Life.

For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. John3:16 You may add being perfect doing good works or what ever you imagine, but none is what the Bible says. It is only through faith and that is a gift from Got.

No it what Paul wrote in Romans about obeying the authorities, giving respect and paying taxes.

    Dark times

There are things all Christians can be doing. Volunteering to help in junior schools to listen to children read is one area, becoming a parent governor is another, being part of a group of parents prepared to work at the school to improve decoration, gardens etc another. Meeting with Christian...

What should we eat (the original diet)?

Controling type 1diabeties by diet is nonsense. In type1 the body does not produce insulin needed to break down carbohydrates so it is not controllable by diet. That is why it is nonsense to suggest it can be controlled by diet.

As Christians we have a duty to obey the civil authorities. We only disobey when they order us to break God's laws. We are not here to judge whether the government is telling the truth or not.

When Tempted, Giving over to [Willful] Sin equates to Eternal Death, not Eternal Life.

We do not have to be perfect to become a Christian, nor do we have to be perfect to remain a Christian. If that were true Jesus would not have had to die. No good works have no place in salvation, they are merely tokens of our love.

May I suggest you investigate how Christians behaved during plagues that struck ancient Rome?

    Koinonia

how can a mega mainline Church have this kind of thing The question that occurs to me. Who determines who is noted in fellowship and who isn't? Does your 'friend' know how much responsibility he is placing on one person or a committee ? In my opinion it is up to each of us to examine...

How to be a man in Christ

I am referring only to the ultimate role of a Father, which is to train his children to follow Jesus. Yes society is falling to pieces, but that is because society has rejected Jesus. It is only by turning back o him that society will realise it's mistake. There is plenty of statistical...

When Tempted, Giving over to [Willful] Sin equates to Eternal Death, not Eternal Life.

And again and again it says we are sinners in need of a saviour. Do you really think we can keep God's commandments? It is that failure that meant Jesus had to come and while we have the spirit living in us we are the same people we were before we were saved. John is telling us that we are...

Do Christians have a duty to obey the civil authorities? Do Christians have a duty to care for others, particularly those who are vunerable? There is a virus around that takes five (5) days for symptoms to develop, but surfing those five days one is infectious. There is no over the counter test...

When Tempted, Giving over to [Willful] Sin equates to Eternal Death, not Eternal Life.

It is not what John says in 1john1:8 If we say we are without sin we decieve our selves and the truth is not in us. The question is are you receiving yourself? Or do you sin and need verse 9.

How to be a man in Christ

Except if they have a father who never takes them to church, so they never hear the gospel what point is there in having a father. Why do you think Jesus was so cross about those who cause children to go astray, that is not to learn of him. Better if they hung a millstone about there neck and...

    God says . . .

If my people will..... Is a Godless society part of the people of God, or is this a hope that God will respond to a nationwide turning to him? If it happened it would change society.

How to be a man in Christ

In a nutshell he/I should imitate Jesus, being caring, compassionate, willing to be self sacrificial for those I love, knowledgeable about Christianity, a good example of how to behave and a benevolent authoritarian. We do not realise just how important a Father's influence is. The stats show...

What's The First Thing You Are Going To Do When You Get To Heaven?

Or accept that it is Jesus who holds on to us, not us to Jesus. Yes we have to strive, we are to be obedient to Jesus's command. It is a strange saviour who having saved cannot keep one saved.
