Jesus was newer, at the resurrection, but newer again was promised (selah)

Hi there, So there is just a question of parity, that I have come across, in my study of the Word. That when we believe, we do not immediately grasp the power, of the Word of God, that is coming to Jesus. Jesus is receiving power on Earth, and all the more power in Heaven, in as much as Hell...

Prove the Existence of God without the Bible?

Woe to you who laugh now, for you will mourn. (Jesus)

Why belief in a god is an unfalsifiable claim that serves no purpose

Just for a second, say to yourself "If I believe in God, is there anything I would change?" Even if you can't think of something to begin with, the Holy Spirit will ultimately get to you? Why would you want the Holy Spirit to "get" you, that is another question for another place?

Scripture says "in His Name, the Gentiles will trust" - what will 'Evolutionist Gentiles' trust in Jesus?

I'm starting to get my head around a response, based on scripture. First, Jesus says "don't swear by a hair on your head, for you cannot make one white or black" (Matthew 5:36) Then Jesus says "if you cannot do the least, why are you anxious for the rest?" (Luke 12:36) All that is needed...

A strong soul, is more important, than a more powerful evolution (selah)

I think it bears noting, as well, that a strong soul is more important than a more powerful Evolution for life. There is no point at which an adaptation can take precedence, over a matter of the soul.

A strong soul, is more important, than a more powerful evolution (selah)

I wonder if in the context of sustaining the importance of the soul, it might help to examine how it is that the young are prepared for death. In simple survival terms, young that are prepared for death, are more likely to survive - because they do not live with the pretense, that their life is...

Prove the Existence of God without the Bible?

It's a bit like the Zen koan "does a tree falling in the forest make a sound, if nobody hears it?". Does someone do something for God, if it's never recorded in the Bible? Or similarly, does it have to be for God, until it is in the Bible? Many are first that will be last and many last who...

    The "7 Church Ages" Prophecy

I never understood prophecy unfolding at discreet points in time (I always tended to view it as one long continuum). Learning this has been great! That's the nature of chaos I guess, all you can do is be happy with it. The point being that even being "chaos", God knows when and where it will...

    You Probably Believe This Lie

Great observation! I would phrase it differently though "In order to start believing that you can lose your Salvation, you must first believe the preceding lie that you earned your Salvation" The difference is that the precursor suggests losing Salvation happens immediately - it can't - and...

Why belief in a god is an unfalsifiable claim that serves no purpose

If you could evidence that noone is changing their ways, when they believe in God, you would have a strong instance of evidence that "God" does not exist. In my experience, there is no one who has come to faith, that has not changed in heart and become convicted of spirit. Looking for evidence...

Being Subject to the Higher Powers is not obeying evil rule

The faith we have in authorities, is an assumption that if they are put in power, then they will have the desire to do good. We live by faith in authorities, the same way we trust our father to give us the Holy Spirit when we ask for it.

Scripture says "in His Name, the Gentiles will trust" - what will 'Evolutionist Gentiles' trust in Jesus?

I get that you think there is a degree of relativity, to what you believe God has done. Also I understand that you believe that this world was created for good and evil to be revealed. I think what is lacking is a sense of context, that Evolution will force your hand, if you don't discern in...

    Evolution or Creation? Vote now!

I am like you, I just don't think Evolution changes the species. Take a look at a butterfly, if it could just go back to being a caterpillar at random, why would it ever develop eggs? I trust God with my response to selection pressure now; I don't need the world to tell me "you came from a...

Scripture says "in His Name, the Gentiles will trust" - what will 'Evolutionist Gentiles' trust in Jesus?

I have been thinking about the verse that goes "neither swear by the hair on your head, for you cannot make one hair white or black" (gospels, from memory) - that seems to fly in the face of the idea that you can mutate an adaptation, right? Like if I am going to look for a mutation that will...

Don't fall into the trap, of thinking your faith is solely your doing - it is your doing in part, but praise God daily

Worthy by Grace. The point is we have dignity, not just eligibility. But yes, having grace imparted to us, is more important again!

Scripture says "in His Name, the Gentiles will trust" - what will 'Evolutionist Gentiles' trust in Jesus?

I came across the idea akin to the argument that giving directions to a location is not being opinionated, its just a recognition of fact: viz, if you want to change an aero plane's design you don't try to do it in midair, that doesn't make you blinkered, its just an acceptance of restraint...

    The Bible supports reincarnation

Jesus said "John the Baptist was Elijah", it can't be plainer.

    The Bible supports reincarnation

You're introducing words, that aren't there. What I said, hung on the simplicity of the Holy Spirit.

Don't fall into the trap, of thinking your faith is solely your doing - it is your doing in part, but praise God daily

Hi there, So something that will vex you until you have understood, it is important not to claim that your faith is your doing. Jesus said "You did not choose Me, but I chose you" (John, from memory). What He meant by this, is that the Father Himself has forgiven you, now you must accept what...
