Amillennialism vs premillennialism ......how & why ppl believe different.

The problem I find with this way of applying many things to Israel of Old, is how the focus is on Israel when Christ sent His Spirit that they might know He had already come in the Kingdom of God, and instead of focusing on the physical nation, the focus for His disciples should be about...

    1878

The parables Christ repeatedly speaks are all given to show the Kingdom of God that was long awaited has come. At His coming Christ ushered in the Kingdom of God. That the Kingdom of God had come through Christ, was not realized by the nation of Israel because they were looking for a physical...

    Understanding the Unquenchable Fire.

I always found myself in an inconsistent state of mind when the question of what the lake of fire shall be for those who are cast there. I've always had an emotional problem of the wicked being tormented forever in the lake of fire. I remained on the fence between verses that appear to say the...

    Understanding the Unquenchable Fire.

Interesting Hobie. Isn't it strange how we can read and study the Bible then one day a light bulb seems to bring greater or better light of simple little things we've probably read many times! Without searching out 'quenching' for myself, off the top of my head I must say this is a reasonable...

    @ Home In Messiah's Kingdom

Is not this also assuming there will be one thousand more years of time after the return of Christ? If the Kingdom of God is going to be physically upon this earth, why does Christ say the Kingdom of God is not of this world, and is not visible, because the Kingdom of God is within you? Luke...

Amillennialism vs premillennialism ......how & why ppl believe different.

Okay, I see where you're coming from. Being Amil I don't believe there will be a regathering for Israel to receive the promised land. Israel has already received the promised land through Joshua, and if you take the time to read Joshua you will find that not a single promise God made to the...

Amillennialism vs premillennialism ......how & why ppl believe different.

For me chapters 3-6 of Revelation are past history, in fact a vision of the realm of heaven, not from heaven but of heaven and all that came to pass as the triune God-head ordained all that would come to pass upon the earth through the Lamb of God as He and the saints wage a great spiritual...

I know the feeling! The other day I visited with a neurologist, and he told me that as we age our brain shrinks! I laughed and said NOW I get it! LOL Much love!

Amillennialism vs premillennialism ......how & why ppl believe different.

You could not be more wrong on that EG. The Old Covenant nation was given the knowledge of a Messiah/Redeemer that would come to save them. Those of faith believed the Law that pointed them to the Messiah, and the Prophets who foretell His coming. Yes, I agree salvation has always been for...

Amillennialism vs premillennialism ......how & why ppl believe different.

You don't believe the sheep/goat judgment, like the wheat/tares concern all believers and all unbelievers not dependent upon race, but upon faith? Actually I am considering Rev 5:6, 6:1 giving no comments regarding the names written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of...

Amillennialism vs premillennialism ......how & why ppl believe different.

I believe Joel's prophecy begins at Pentecost and shall end with the great and notable day of the Lord's return. According to vs 21 the timing is when whosoever from every nation of the world shall call on the name of the Lord to be saved. This is IMO the whole Gospel age of grace. Acts 2:21...

They will reign with Him a thousand years and making an unknown Greek out of the English New Testament

Here are a few verses off the top of my head that IMO prove we have eternal/everlasting spirit life after our body has died. And it seems clear, at least to me that the spirit alive through the Holy Spirit within ascends to heaven still a living, (through without physical form) soul...

They will reign with Him a thousand years and making an unknown Greek out of the English New Testament

I don't mind questions David, in fact I love them especially if I believe my answer will be helpful. But discussions such as they are can only be beneficial if both sides give answers for what appears to be inconsistencies or contradictions found with the doctrines we hold. You say above you...

Amillennialism vs premillennialism ......how & why ppl believe different.

I believe that "last days" is the same time that began to be fulfilled with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, and will not be finished until the seventh trumpet begins to sound. It's the beginning of the fulfillment of the Prophet Joel, who says "And it shall come to pass in the...

Amillennialism vs premillennialism ......how & why ppl believe different.

If you have doubts about what you believe is biblical truth, then I agree, it would be better not to participate. What is wrong with arguing for what you believe is true? I see Christ arguing for truth and against the doctrine of the Scribes and Pharisees, and I see Paul also arguing for truth...

Amillennialism vs premillennialism ......how & why ppl believe different.

How does what I've said prove Amil believes God is finished with Israel? The Gospel is available to ALL people, and even Israel in unbelief can enter the spiritual Kingdom of God by being born again by grace through faith.

Amillennialism vs premillennialism ......how & why ppl believe different.

I sincerely apologize that is what it appears. It is not my intention to be rude and disrespectful of others. When a discussion is started that assumes to have understanding for the doctrine of Amil, then proceeds to prove what they think is NOT in fact the doctrine of Amil, I find the agenda...

Amillennialism vs premillennialism ......how & why ppl believe different.

It would be wonderful to have a polite and respectful discussion with all who participate in these threads. Sadly, they tend to turn into heated debates when error of ones doctrine is shown. That's exactly what happened in the thread similar to this one. Much love to you as well marks!

Then the purpose for these discussions should be to learn what is true of other positions before assuming they are unbiblical.
