Do you really think you live up to the righteousness of Christ?

What about looking in the mirror like this: But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. And what about looking in the mirror and remembering also the new...

Since Christ paid the price for our sins... and became our righteousness... how should we live for H

Only we should not write off the possibility, knowing that all things are possible with Christ (and on what do we base that some did not attain?). And we shouldn't use our faith to justify ourselves either. We do not yet know whether we will complete our race... ...Unless Paul just imagined...

Do you really think you live up to the righteousness of Christ?

Yes. He is interested in saving humanity, so he uses small things, and yet those small things he makes perfect (Christ). And by the same humilty, walking in the knowledge of the greatness of the calling to which we have been summoned, we strive to enter in obedience, not having certainty, for...

Since Christ paid the price for our sins... and became our righteousness... how should we live for H

;) And since he erased our past sins, we should go and sin no more! And put on his righteousness that we might be like him! Oups! Love you brother!

We should live worthily, and seek his ways, I would say. :)

This is why Christians need to be in Politics

Could you explain what you mean, brother? :) I'm trying to understand how a spiritual answer does anything in politics. Wouldn't men just not understand it? Isn't just that we don't work through the government? I suspect I'm not quite getting where you're going with this, or the meaning of the...

Do you really think you live up to the righteousness of Christ?

That is according to your understanding. It would be easy for someone to say the opposite. You say Christ can save us from the condemnation of sin. I say he can save us from the condemnation and the power of sin. Which one brings him more glory, if indeed he were to perform it? :)

    The Word For Today

(Angelina, sister, I post this here because it is too long to post in the shout box :) ) Angelina, I say this with respect and brotherly love. I don't say it as someone trying to overthrow authority or challenge it in rebellion, but I say it as a plea to you, and all those who have authority...

Do you really think you live up to the righteousness of Christ?

Right. And it's not true when it says in the Bible that Noah was righteous. The Bible talks both about the righteousness of men and the righteousness of God. Compared to the righteousness of God, ours is as filthy rags, yes, and none is righteous as God is. Now Christ has made a way that we...

    The error of the Pharisee

Ever heard of the Silk road? It goes all the way from Jerusalem to China. Imagine this :) Let's say we were... In 1093 (random date long time ago). There was a man a long time ago, who went all the way from Jerusalem and reached the innerlands of China. A long journey, filled with perils. But...

Do you really think you live up to the righteousness of Christ?

Now behold, one came and said to Him, “Good[e] Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?” 17 So He said to him, “Why do you call Me good?[f] No one is good but One, that is, God.[g] But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.” 18 He said to Him, “Which...

    The Assyrian Anti-christ

How many friends of innocent people died because we bombed Afghans,Iraqis, etc, citizens, innocent people? I make no judgments as to who is what. But if we think we North Americans who kill innocent people in the name of... Democracy... Or Jesus... Or peace, are justified, then we have...

    The error of the Pharisee

I am not perfect. Do I use my own experience to discern the word of God, or does the word of God discern my experience, and judges me accordingly? The word says 'be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect', and it says 'I write this to you so that you do not sin'. The word tells me that...

    The error of the Pharisee

Is God really powerless to save us from the power of sin NOW?

Do you really think you live up to the righteousness of Christ?

You make many judgments without knowing, Robbie :(

    The error of the Pharisee

Yes. We think that somehow God has changed, erased righteousness, and come so we can 'hide' our sins behind him. He came to make a way so that we CAN walk in his righteousness. That's why he's the WAY. Amen again. He who obeys me follows my commands, as he says.

    The error of the Pharisee

He is the way, but the way profits you nothing if you do not walk in it.

    The error of the Pharisee

You claim we are to walk in the truth of what our old nature is. The opposite of what we are called to! We are called no longer to walk according to the old nature, but by the new! The old is still condemned. Jesus didn't come to 'hide' our sin nature, but to give us a new one by which we...
