Is There Different Beliefs Among Catholics? Chrislam Movement?

It's not about a club or history. It's about GOD and a relationship with Him.

Is There Different Beliefs Among Catholics? Chrislam Movement?

You accept the Creeds because it is approved by the Papecy. I don't. Sorry, but you're citing sources outside of the Bible to say that I'm not lining up with the Bible. That argument just doesn't hold any water for me. The Biblical definition of a Christian is a disciple of Christ. The...

Is There Different Beliefs Among Catholics? Chrislam Movement?

Except your objection is that I do not accept Catholic/Papel authority. I"m sorry, but this whole "substance" and "being" stuff isn't plainly in the Bible. And the Biblical definition of Christian is a disciple of Christ, not a disciple of the Athanasian Creed.

Is There Different Beliefs Among Catholics? Chrislam Movement?

Well, that's your objection to everyone who's not Catholic and/or doesn't blindly accept the Pope as their authority. Sorry, but not everyone is Catholic. I have nothing against Catholics, having Catholic friends, frequently celebrating Christ with them, attending more Masses than I can count...

Is There Different Beliefs Among Catholics? Chrislam Movement?

Except that the Bible doesn't say anything about a special substance for God. That's codified in a document written 500 AD. And pardon my bluntness: but I get really sick of folks saying essentially "well that doesn't matter, and it doesn't matter than I don't understand it either or care to...

Is There Different Beliefs Among Catholics? Chrislam Movement?

(editted for politeness) I read the Bible and find the core tenet to be Jesus Christ: that He is the Son of God, Savior of the world, and that all men all called to repent and come unto Him. Metaphysical understandings are very secondary. The issue of God's "substance" is not directly...

Is There Different Beliefs Among Catholics? Chrislam Movement?

BOL: you seem to be mistaken. I'm not trying to pretend to be an Athanasian Christian. I do not ratify that document, and in fact have some major disagreements with it. And I am not Catholic. But I am going to explain what is is I do believe. I am a Christian: a person whom has dedicated...

Is There Different Beliefs Among Catholics? Chrislam Movement?

Your statement actually applies both ways. If anyone wants to understand Catholic Christian theology or make statements about that, I need to take the time to understand the words and meanings being used with those words. No non-Catholic else gets to "decide" what is meant in a Catholic...

Is There Different Beliefs Among Catholics? Chrislam Movement?

(I missed this post earlier, my apologies) A Christian is a disciple of Christ. A person whom gives their heart, mind, and soul to Him, the Only Begotten Son of God. Yes, they will mess up royally along the way, but it is that relationship which is the most important thing in the world.

Is There Different Beliefs Among Catholics? Chrislam Movement?

Again: LDS Christians don’t have special definitions for “person” versus “being”. See post 93.

Is There Different Beliefs Among Catholics? Chrislam Movement?

Before we move on to talking about physicality or sola scriptura, could you respond to my post about the Father Son and Spirit being three different divine persons in ONE God?

Is There Different Beliefs Among Catholics? Chrislam Movement?

Remember how I said LDS Christians don't have a special "person versus being" definitions? (Point 4 in post 93). The Father and Son are two different persons. One, two. Yet ONE God.

Is There Different Beliefs Among Catholics? Chrislam Movement?

Ok, for this this explanation I’m going to be explain the views/beliefs/teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. All quotes are from books considered by LDS Christians to be scriptures, marking non-Bible ones with * to be super transparent. Point 1) ““We believe in God...

Ditch the ego BOL. Such is screaming “I shall inform you what you believe and don’t care if it’s accurate “.

I believe and know that you misunderstannd. The question would be whether you’re willing to get the record straight, as you urge others here to get the record straight on what Catholics believe.

And there you ar, and there you are, trying to inform somebody what they believe rather than listen.

Is There Different Beliefs Among Catholics? Chrislam Movement?

If you want to do such a comparison, you’d have to start by listening and learning wha t members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints actually believe. If you’re not interested in such, then skip such statements about somebody you don’t know and don’t care to know.

Is There Different Beliefs Among Catholics? Chrislam Movement?

Are you really trying to inform a decades old member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Laster-Day Saints what members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints believe and teach?

Is There Different Beliefs Among Catholics? Chrislam Movement?

LDS Christians believe that the Father, Son, and Spirit are three divine persons in one God. There academic disagreements with the how three are one versus the Athanasian Creed’s statement, but such academic disagreements do not. invalidate anyone’s relationship with Christ. Theology is...
