    Calvinism?

@LC627, you don't want to hear my thoughts on your beliefs. You WILL get deeply offended on a personal level and no enjoy a second of it. And frankly, I don't want to hear your defense of (what from my perspective) are very very wrong beliefs. Hence let's just move on. I'm glad you're cool...

    Calvinism?

I went and added more to my earlier comment, if you want to check that out. Again, this is a no-win conversation.

    Calvinism?

I was asking Naomi25 about her/his beleifs. I enjoy asking diverse people about their beliefs. Not because I agree with them, but simply to better understand/love those that believe them. You and I have discussed your beliefs and yes you communicated the. Frankly... I'm going to bite my...

    Calvinism?

Honestly...this post kind of feels running around in circles. (I intend no offense by that, and apologize if it causes such offense) I asked a simple " Does a person have the ability to say 'no thank you'?" The answer was (to my understanding- possibly flawed) essentially that God...

    Calvinism?

Following your logic here: man has no responsibility for their actions, everything is the result of God's manipulation?

    2nd Kingdom Hall Meeting.

The best doctor in the universe: Christ. Combating the fear and pain through the joy and hope that emanates from walking with Christ.

    2nd Kingdom Hall Meeting.

This is a good piece of general advise. It came up because of the hate-against-Mormons site that was linked earlier. But I have also seen plenty of hate-against-JW sites, hate-against-Christianity-in-general sites, etc. They're just bad places to get info or perspectives from.

    2nd Kingdom Hall Meeting.

AMEN! After all, why would you go to ISIS to learn about Christian beliefs? (Just for one example)

    2nd Kingdom Hall Meeting.

Actual Mormon here: The quote you're posting and rest of the link (yes, I checked it out) are full of fear-based mongroling and blatantly false information. If you to talk about it more in another venue, we can. But no Mormons don't kill people who leave the faith. Heck, I talked to my...

    Calvinism?

So essentially you believe every person's choice is manipulated? And we should just be okay with that? (I bolded the specific part that gives me that impression). I quoted KJV, my default. And I read it about how God wants ALL men to come to Him, not just some.

    2nd Kingdom Hall Meeting.

My apologies, I thought we had already adequately been over things: The entirety of the meeting (as you summed it up) was about how the world outside (including other Christians) is evil and dangerous, and "parents do you know where your kids are?" The threat that the evil world is going to get...

    2nd Kingdom Hall Meeting.

This is true: some people simply only know threats and do not really feel a God of love. (I was referring to me visiting because I personally just like visiting churches)

    2nd Kingdom Hall Meeting.

I agree that some churches do that. Speaking personally, when I visit such a church, I do not stay long. I.... suffice it to say I have major disagreements with such an approach.

Willie, you should come to my congregation sometime and see people not doing things this way.

    2nd Kingdom Hall Meeting.

Only in certain groups. I find threatening folks with Hellfire to be... completely counter productive. What would you tell a lady who is coming into a marriage only because she fears for her life? Is that true love? NO! So then why do folks try to force a person to be a bride of Christ with...

    Calvinism?

@Naomi25 , I really appreciate your posts here. I want to go through things with you super throughly, so I'm going to respond here just to the first part of your post first, so we can be thorough with it, before moving to rest of your excellent post. Ok. Do you believe a person have the...

    Limited Atonement VS Universal Atonement

Totally backwards. Christ doesn't say "you I'm going to save and force to have faith", and hence you have faith. And other people... well, just sucks to be them. Rather, Christ offers His gift of faith for everyone, same with salvation. We each have a choice to accept Christ and be lifted by...

    Limited Atonement VS Universal Atonement

Start with John 3:16. Note: I totally disagree with the idea of forced faith/salvation.
