Trinity vs. Tritheism: Understanding the Trinity.

Right. There is only one Person dwelling in eternity; and He is God, dwelling with God in eternity, John 1:1. The first, dwells in eternity, outside of time. The last, dwells in eternity, outside of time. He exists side-by-side in eternity; that is the only way that I can think of to say it.

    The IN CHRIST Doctrine

Walking in the Spirit...defined by Galatians 5:22-23. Walking in the flesh...defined by Galatians 5:16-21. Notice that it says that the Spirit and the flesh are contrary to one another.

Can a Saved man choose to be Lost?

To the OP I say that if anyone is truly born again, they have the fear of the LORD in them; and that this fear will prevent them from ever crossing the line into damnation. If they were not preserved by that fear, then the possibility does exist of crossing over into damnation. But Jeremiah...

    The IN CHRIST Doctrine

Of course, Romans 8:1 defines the person who is in Christ as one who walks according to the Spirit rather than the flesh.

Trinity vs. Tritheism: Understanding the Trinity.

same Person. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. God is a Person; He exists next to Himself in eternity. Because He descended out of eternity into time and then back into eternity (Ephesians 4:10). In descending He took on an added nature of human...

Trinity vs. Tritheism: Understanding the Trinity.

@101G, You know that it does make sense... If it doesn't make sense to you, then may I suggest that you are lacking a little bit in the area of intellect; because it makes perfect sense to me.

Jesus said, you will be hated by all men for My name's sake.

Jesus said that if you hate Christians, it is because you hated Christ first. How can you say to the bridegroom, "I like you and want to spend time with you...but leave your bride out of the picture...her I don't like so much."

Jesus said, you will be hated by all men for My name's sake.

Luke didn't live a perfect life in the context of the show...but he did own up to the things that he did wrong while he was on the receiving end of the camera. One of the contestants who hated him commented that he thought that there was no real repentance there...that he was only confessing...

Trinity vs. Tritheism: Understanding the Trinity.

It is two Persons dwelling in eternity who are the same Person and the same God. He dwells in eternity; descended into time; and ascended once more into eternity. This is two of the same Person dwelling side-by-side in eternity. And while they are the same Person, there are certain...

The Power to not sin in the flesh

Those in whom the Spirit lives will walk according to the Spirit. A real Christian may sin; but the general direction of his life is not towards sin any longer; it is away from sin. He will sin less as time passes. Pro 4:18, But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more...

Trinity vs. Tritheism: Understanding the Trinity.

It is Ephesians 4:10 that tells us that He who descended also ascended to fill all things. He who was outside of time (Isaiah 57:15) descended into time and then ascended to be outside of time once again. That makes two Persons who are the same Person, existing outside of time.

The Power to not sin in the flesh

Rom 8:1, There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. The latter part of this belongs in the holy scripture. If it were added, then the ones who translated it should have had the plagues of the book of Revelation...

The Power to not sin in the flesh

I do not claim to be sinless. I do not even claim that sin is rendered dead within me. I do claim that the scripture teaches that this is a possibility, and also the goal of the Holy Spirit in sanctifying us.

The Power to not sin in the flesh

When we read it in the versions that do not take away the latter half, we find that those who are in Christ are those who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit...it defines those who are in Christ. So if we are engaging in bad behaviour it is very likely because we are not in Christ...

Trinity vs. Tritheism: Understanding the Trinity.

Now, the Holy Ghost. There is one Spirit: Ephesians 4:4, There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; And He is the Father: John 4:23-24, But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in Spirit and in truth: for...

Trinity vs. Tritheism: Understanding the Trinity.

1 Corinthians 11:19 says, For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you. There is a heresy called Tritheism that defends itself by calling the opposing emphasis on the Oneness of God heresy; even though the one who is emphasizing that...

The Power to not sin in the flesh

Nobody added anything. It was taken away. If it had been added, then the plagues of the book of Revelation would have been added to the people who added it (Revelation 22:18). And hey...you choose your own condemnation if you continue to take away from the word (Revelation 22:19) the way some...

The Power to not sin in the flesh

When I read it, I find that taking away the latter half of Romans 8:1 changes the meaning of the entire text (from Romans 7:14 through to the end of Romans 8). In one instance, it teaches that we can walk according to the flesh and there is still no condemnation for us. In the other, it...

Jesus said, you will be hated by all men for My name's sake.

Also, in the show he spoke of how he had had an encounter with the Lord that had changed his life.

Believers need to understand the Truth

I find that in my own life, the love of God that is shed abroad in my heart is a constant and does not require me to activate it in order for me to live according to it. I find that it is something that abides in me so that I live according to it through no effort of my own. He is the one who...
