Speaking in tongues is NOT a gift

It's unfortunate when context matters so much. There really is no excuse. But Jesus even said that there are only a few who find it. So being in the minority/few is okay with me. I worry less about your salvation than I do your teaching for others. You may be going to heaven, but your teaching...

Speaking in tongues is NOT a gift

So do you believe Jeremiah 31:31-34 as the one covenant? The NEW COVENANT?

Speaking in tongues is NOT a gift

There are two. "The New Covenant is not like the Old Covenant." Jeremiah 31: 31 “Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah— 32 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I...

Speaking in tongues is NOT a gift

I know it is hard to see, but verse 25 is just the end of the verses from 14 about the struggle keeping the law. You see verse 25 says nothing about the Spirit, so that is still Old Covenant. The next verse is the beginning of the verses on the Spirit. Romans 8:1-9

Was Jesus/Yeshua born with a Sin Nature?

Was Jesus/Yeshua born with a Sin Nature?

Was Jesus/Yeshua born with a Sin Nature?

Read the verses before 9. I already gave them to you 5-8 He EMPTIED Himself of that exaltation. So yes, He DID exist as GOD. In the form of God's Word.

Speaking in tongues is NOT a gift

He answered his own question in the 2nd verse of the next chapter. "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death." Jesus freed Paul of the struggle of Romans 7:14-25. You would know that if you read this book in context instead of pulling out...

Was Jesus/Yeshua born with a Sin Nature?

I thought we discussed this. Oh, maybe it was someone else... face2face, how is John 1:1 stated in your Bible? If it says "a god" instead of "was God," then your Bible doesn't even make sense. How can any part of God be a pagan god? God's voice is still God. And His voice was called the Word...

Was Jesus/Yeshua born with a Sin Nature?

No, Jesus was more. His nature while on earth was the same as our more powerful nature once we are born again. Jesus NEVER had a sin nature. It all comes down to the seed of the Father. 1 John 3:9. The same seed that makes us born again, Jesus was conceived with! Understand? That freed us from...

Was Jesus/Yeshua born with a Sin Nature?

Some are bringing your statements to my attention. I want to ask you something. If Jesus was so prone to sin as we are how can we do all things through Christ? If Christ had no advantage how could He help us do all things? You're not making sense. I hope you read my other post to you. The reason...

Speaking in tongues is NOT a gift

Don't forget what the book of Galatians is all about. It is about the Judaizers (Christian Jews) telling the Galatians that they must obey the laws of Moses and circumcision to actually be saved. Paul is telling the Galatians to not go back to the Law but to continue in the Spirit. Rich, to...

Was Jesus/Yeshua born with a Sin Nature?

tempted just means tested. Jesus always passed the test, and so can we because God always provides a way of escape.

Was Jesus/Yeshua born with a Sin Nature?

You are right to compare our nature with the nature of Jesus, and, yes, it is because of the seed of Abraham which is Jesus, but more importantly the seed of God that Jesus was conceived with, and we were born again with. 1 John 3:9 means Jesus never sinned. Jesus was born with the same nature...

Was Jesus/Yeshua born with a Sin Nature?

and @Blue Dragonfly's Maybe this is what you found. I know I was shocked by this verse some 40 years ago and I even wrote in my Bible next to it "Jesus is God!" I hadn't known that until then. Titus 1:3-4 3 but has in due time manifested His word through preaching, which was committed to me...

Speaking in tongues is NOT a gift

No, not his body, but his nature. Under the old covenant, they memorized all these laws and had them in their mind. But even with the laws in their mind, their nature/carnal flesh still wanted to sin. Paul is telling us what it was like under the law. That is chapter 7 of an 8 chapter teaching...

Was Jesus/Yeshua born with a Sin Nature?

I'm 75. 45 years ago I had been going to church for 30 years, and still willfully sinned. In fact, at the end of those 30 years I was in a relationship with a married man and did not want to quit. Not one prayer was ever answered. My keys or wallet stayed lost. I had no divine protection (which...

Was Jesus/Yeshua born with a Sin Nature?

We still have free will. 15 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not! 16 Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to...

Was Jesus/Yeshua born with a Sin Nature?
