    The Need For God's Righteousness

We need God's righteousness in order to be His servants and ambassadors in the world. Otherwise we are promoting our ow ministry....not the Lord's. A servant of God goes in the authority of God....NOT speaking his own words or having his own opinions...at all! So there is little to no...

    “God does the works”

People confuse the heart of a person...with the means at his/her disposal. You would think that bible readers would understand Jesus' pointing out the widow's 2 mites was she doing all she could. But understanding seems hard to grasp these days.

    “God does the works”

This is true and is based on righteousness. Like when the Samaritan really helped the man that was attacked and near to dying. The OP, however, is about holiness. I'm amazed that nobody seems to be able to understand this simple difference.

    No Righteousness = No Heaven

First paragraph is the errant doctrine of Dispensationalism championed by Darby. And the second is the errant doctrine of "alien righteousness" invented by Luther. Talk about the philosophies of men!

A New Transformation is required for the modern Church

I make the distinction between being LED by the Spirit and being filled with (or walking in the power of ) the Spirit. John was filled with the Spirit on the Lord's day to produce the book of Revelation....but he always was open to the guidance of the Spirit. And my idea of monasticism is that...

Why is the "Imputed righteousness" scheme so seductive?

So we see that it is not about the grace we have received or the many blessings that were bestowed upon us...but what these did to our character. To remain humble in heart and fear the Lord....that is wisdom. :)

Why is the "Imputed righteousness" scheme so seductive?

First of all it is the righteousness of God....not of Christ...and this is given to God's servants...they who are His bond-slaves. The cost to enter under His righteousness is everything....being emptied...having the same mind that was in Christ. Isaiah 54:17 17 No weapon that is formed...

    No Righteousness = No Heaven

As Jesus said...when the batch is leavened...how do you unleaven it? But all things are possible with God...IF we repent.

"I am a sinner saved by grace" (part II).

God never partially sanctifies people. Nor does He half-crucify people. Both of these take place when one enters into Christ. They happen in the twinkling of an eye. The process of being saved into the likeness of Christ (Christ being FORMED in us) in our own characters takes a long time...

A New Transformation is required for the modern Church

Glad you enjoyed it. :) The article raises up some very god points and is done both faithfully and honestly. God has His people seeking the way to impact the world for Christ without compromising the truth. Have you heard of Shane Claiborne? He is living out what he calls "the new monasticism"...

Why is the "Imputed righteousness" scheme so seductive?

God calls it as HE sees it...so you are refuting God. You err by taking one verse out of context to overthrow God's judgments elsewhere. Abraham did not walk in the Spirit...he merely trusted God as a child trusts their parent. We are to trust God in that way. That is the lesson. But people are...

A New Transformation is required for the modern Church

You are referring to a "saved status" that is taught these days. But we are to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. Read this for yourself. This life is a race. No one wins until the finish. Check out sports that have races to see how people can be overconfident and lose the race...

"I am a sinner saved by grace" (part II).

Nowadays people can't even handle the theory of the power of God. They read about the miracles and think these are for bible times or else read them as bible stories. But the reality of God's power (grace) is far from them. As long as statements about victory over sin and the world remain as...

A New Transformation is required for the modern Church

That would only be possible if you claim to have been in the burning bush with God...or that somehow you have been elevated into being God yourself. Otherwise if you see yourself as human...this life is a race that all will be judged on at the end. So then for people without delusions...the...

A New Transformation is required for the modern Church

I'd like to explore some of the ideas from the posted article in the OP. Please peruse it in order to comment on it. Since the lowering of the standard of Christianity into people deciding for themselves if they are Christian through acceptance of Jesus' sacrifice by one's own will...but not so...

    My New Life

There is also the ostrich religion of sticking your head in the sand and calling that being in Christ.

Why is the "Imputed righteousness" scheme so seductive?

yes. But the devil is also at work deceiving they who are seeking to save their own lives. Jesus said that whoever sought to save their lives would lose them. So either we ignore Jesus and listen to the devil...or go through the cross of Christ...so that we are crucified to this world and this...

Why is the "Imputed righteousness" scheme so seductive?

Actually that means that God can justify people who are NOT believers in Christ....but who ACT righteously in God's eyes. Ungodly yes...but unrighteous no.

Why is the "Imputed righteousness" scheme so seductive?

This is religious nonsense. Abraham didn't have Christ's righteousness...he had his own righteousness according to God who acts in real righteousness. Unrighteous people misinterpret what God does all the time. It is very wrong to add to the word of God. Religious indoctrination is a very ugly...
