Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

@David in NJ YW... :) I know you said you particularly appreciate color in tattoos, although often also simple black can be effective in an understated way, for faith based designs, right? (e.g., below) In some ways I wish more Christians worked in tattoo parlors, anyway.

    Age for first ear piercings?

@Pearl Yes earrings do make excellent b-day, Christmas, anniversary, etc. gifts. The little chunkies are probably better for men. (It's worthwhile having a good idea beforehand what the person's taste in her or his earrings is, though.)

@friend of Godly contemplation relates more to prayer and the Scriptures. I do think that more could probably be done to enhance marijuana for medical use. There was a video about a young lady who was the Pain Society of Vancouver's first vending machine customer. (Whether she was a bona fide...

what irritates the crud out of me about "Christians" so-called

@JazzyJeff15 Re. the term you mentioned, it's interesting that in John 6.37 there seems to be an indication of both God's sovereignty and human responsibility right in the same verse: "All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out." The...

Was John the Baptist an Essene

The term properly understood does refer to the Lord Jesus, rather than to some other set of beliefs, anyway...

    Eternal Security

@Eternally Grateful As regards justification by faith and imputed righteousness, and also Psalm 32.2: "Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile." ....some students of the Word have seen what may relate to what they call the active and...

Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

If you're referring to one of my 'likes', I just guess I have the habit of being rather liberal with my 'like' clicks....... (Thanks for your contribs. anyway...)

Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

Just thought I would revert the quote rather than 'improve it'... :)

Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

Hi @David in NJ I think his actual quote was: "He told her he still wasn't done yet...", meaning just that the man was still open to getting more ink...

    Age for first ear piercings?

Hi @Pearl This is the post I was referring to when you mentioned about your 50th anniversary. (I guess that earrings are likely to feature as a gift that might be wished for.... :) )

Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

@Naomanos Yes, I can indeed see your perspective if it's about someone who gets the job of noting all a patient's inkwork and perforations. (Seems like you are some kind of health professional, right?) Then again, as Heart2Soul says: Heart2Soul said There has certainly been a big increase...

Rumblings of Things To Come. Personal Thoughts

@MatthewG I do believe that Acts 2.42 activities, which began after the church's birthday at Pentecost, will indeed continue until the Lord's return for His church.
