Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

@soul man If the Scripture content can be communicated effectively, some Christians would regard the tattoo parlor cost and measure of short term discomfort as a small price to pay. I think I mentioned that my wife and I talked to a young lady with the whole of John 3.16 tattooed on her wrist...

@soul man There is also the language of adoption (from a different angle to the one you take up) in Romans 8.

Is pre-tribulation rapture a doctrine of demons?

Clearly we think differently; I feel I have done my portion in having offered a Scriptural reason.

    Nightmares/Lack of Sleep

@FluffyYellowDuck Well, you know what the saying is: MENS SANA IN CORPORE SANA (a healthy mind in a healthy body); good to remember also that we are indeed born for eternity.

Is pre-tribulation rapture a doctrine of demons?

@Michael BoryAlis If we look at the rapture in from the prism of dispensational distictives surrounding Jews, Gentiles and the church of God (1 Corinthians 10.32), it does make sense.

Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

@FluffyYellowDuck Thanks indeed for your vote participation, anyway; and of course multiple votes are possible, only if desired. source: shrm dot org These days it's not at all unusual for genteel people of a certain maturity to be tattooed, who can be real naturals at having it done; very...

    Nightmares/Lack of Sleep

@FluffyYellowDuck I do love Paul's words in 2 Corinthians 4.16b-18: "...though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the...

    Nightmares/Lack of Sleep

@FluffyYellowDuck I do think indeed that the words of the great hymn 'Before the Throne of God Above' (linked to a thread in which you were recently participating) well express what you have just said, in similar words. :)

    My First Bible was KJV!

@Michael BoryAlis Hi, Sir; I do myself greatly appreciate the King James and use it extensively; and as you say the Strong's linkages can be very helpful. While I wouldn't go so far as to say that everything else is false, in my humble view the King James far exceeds many of the alternatives.

    Nightmares/Lack of Sleep

@FluffyYellowDuck I think that bedtime reading of chapters such as John 14.1-27 and Psalm 46, done prayerfully, can have a good effect on the mind and heart so that when we slip into sleep these peaceable influences can have their effect. When we wake, we know that what abides is the truth of...

    Vaping problems? / benefits?

@FluffyYellowDuck They are probably being a bit severe if they won't admit that vaping does help some ppl to cut down or quit.

@FluffyYellowDuck Great Scriptures there. Prayer and the Scriptures and fellowship in those activities are the believer's strength.

God just showed me HOW Trump will actually rightfully sit a 2nd term

You mean, as in keep killing people who think differently and who have the backing of the courts, until one supposedly gets what one wants? I do recall that the Lord Jesus said: 'My kingdom is not of this world' (John 18.36).
