    In our image..

It's far worse than an excuse; it's an absurd rationalization. Just because something has POTENTIAL (can be) does not mean it is ACTUAL. It's not just that they speculate; they extrapolate a possible interpretation is the only and best interpretation. A great example is houtos in John 1:2 is not...

    Are Jehovah's witnesses real Christians?

It's unfortunate Christians so frequently accuse the other side of doing Satan's bidding. At the very least, we should have enough respect for Christ that all who are here are Christ followers, JW's and non-JW's alike. Love you all, independent of how like or unlike our doctrines might be.

How do you do bible study?

Really! Did you ever read what John also explicitly tells us at 20:31 that everything he wrote was to prove something other than the idea that Jesus is God; namely, that Jesus is God’s Anointed? So, it is funny to see trinitarians try to twist 1:1 – and indeed, his entire Gospel - to have a...

Struggling to Wait on God for direction

Because being in control is comforting, yet an illusion. We have some control but rarely as much as we covet.

    Difference between Catholic and Protestant.

Yup. Stay in your lane kiddo. You are correct about how I feel. However, I do submit to others, just not the corrupt RCC.

    Difference between Catholic and Protestant.

Christ alone is the cornerstone. Yup, and that don’t mean RCC.

How do you do bible study?

What? Changing the subject. It is a plain fact that John 1:1 does not even reference Jesus. Are you aware that not every use of the word ‘word’ in Scripture refers to Jesus?

How do you do bible study?

NOTE: Not one dingle reference to Jesus. And this is THE BEST you can do to justify defying Jesus, who did not teach us to pray to him. Why not just obey Jesus and pray only to God, who we relate to as Father?

JESUS Was Just Repeating What GOD Said A Long Time Ago = John 8;21, Ezekiel 18;20

I would say repeated+ as opossed to repeated just. The long awaited Messiah finally came! Praise God. His anointed ministry brought fallen man into the Age of Reconcilliation. Yes, he repeated what God said, but more than that said unique things as well, starting with John 3:17 God did not...

    Unclean spirit, demon and devil

I used to believe as you do, that Gabriel was fighting a fallen angel. Recently, I read that is an oversimplification. Now, I'm not sure what to believe. Regarding the OP, I think it is safest to put a big circle around them all and call them 'bad.' We need to remember that our God is more...

    "All things are lawful..."

I'm afriad @Behold would turn this thread into a OSAS apology. I liked the premise of this thread, which I think is understanding 'all things are lawful' in context. No book of substance is meant for any one sentence to be taken as a comprehensive statement. It is too awkward to write each...

Struggling to Wait on God for direction

We all do. I used to think "God's speed" meant as fast as possible. Sadly, this is not the case. My wife and I often lament that Jesus has not already returned. If it were up to me/us, the end would already be here. I'll pray for you.

    The One Baptism

Agreed. "Born of Water" refers to normal child birth, where the beginning of labor is closely tied to 'the water breaking.' Being born of water is not the same as baptism, which symbolizes death of the old life (going under water) and the emergence of the new life (coming up from the water).

    Are Jehovah's witnesses real Christians?

Wow! What an exchange. I agree with Marks; Jesus was recurrected bodily and that is our hope for our inheritance.

    Difference between Catholic and Protestant.

You do love to invoke the mocking spirit with your constant use of 'kiddo.' Do you suppose it is endearing? Guess what? Protestants don't want supremacy over God's children. We don't desire usurping Christ's role on Earth as being our head. Not as you define the church. The church is not the...

How do you do bible study?

Oy vey! Jesus is our lord, not our God. Our only God is the Father. See 1 COR 8:6 Jesus did not teach us to pray to him. So, why are you? He taught us to pray to God, to our Father.

    The One Baptism

Yes, you hijacked it. You may have been invited for discussion, not hijacking. But if it'll make you feel better, I am sorry. I am often sorry when I read your posts and sorrier when I get a reply from you about your posts.

It matters to the question of whether or not they are Christian?
