I've seen some local churches, when they advertise their preaching, add that there will be no collection. I like that; they make a point of saying that they are not interested in people's money when preaching the Gospel.

Sounds a bit like a quote from JFK.... But the Gospel is about depending entirely on the work of Christ and admitting our sinfulness and insufficiency (Ephesians 2.8-9).
