How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

Yes, when the law entered… Christ enters now. And He says: “…Sin no more lest grace abounds a worse thing come to you.” (John 5:14)

I'm trying to better understand the Biblical definition of "torment" and found something

Uh, nah man. Stay away from language translation if you have no training in this profession.

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

“But He gives more grace. Therefore He says, God resists the proud, but He gives grace to the humble.” (James 4:6) If you receive more of something, didn’t you initially get some of it? :IDK:

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

Amen! “if indeed you continue in the faith grounded and settled, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel…” (Colossians 1:23)

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

Until your sinless? Or do you think God is mocked by paying our new sin debts every day? :IDK:

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

True. “If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.” (John 12:26)

:IDK: I’ve heard your made up interpretations of scriptures…
  9. Michiah-Imla

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

True. “Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” (2 Corinthians 3:17) “For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.” (Galatians 5:13)

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

I imagine many people can’t pay their earthly debts. But if one rich man came and paid all their debts, they would be wise not to engage in behaviors that lead to more debt afterwards… That rich man will not again pay the debts of mockers…

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

I never stated we were under the OT. But we really aren’t under is the Law. We are most definitely under the OT as it pertains to lessons from God. Even the Apostles cite the OT frequently in the scriptures to provide a lesson to NT saints. Okay.

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

Like these samples? “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16) “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.”...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

Amen! And we who are dead and raised are advised: “…you stand by faith. Do not be high-minded, but fear. For if God did not spare the natural branches, fear lest He also may not spare you either!” (Romans 11:20-21)

    The Mind is our Battlefield

“When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walks through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. Then he says, I will return into my house from where I came out; and when he is come, he finds it empty, swept, and garnished. Then goes he, and takes with himself seven other spirits more...

    Walking in the Spirit

:IDK: “Know you not, that to whom you yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants you are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?” (Romans 6:16) “They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto...

    Walking in the Spirit

    The Mind is our Battlefield

So much power is contained in the book of books, the holy scriptures! Yet many rob themselves of the power within those pages by various means and ways… and the devil is behind them all. “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be...
