Armed rebellion is way different than non-compliance. The American revolution was illegal, had the founders failed in their rebellion they would have been hanged. And when they died, it wouldn't be as martyers for God. Perhaps they would have been martyers to the cause of rebellion.

If one is in rebellion against the government, even an evil one, their execution is just. However if they are completely innocent of rebellion, then their execution is unjust. Their blood crys out for justice against that nation, and God will answer.

God's justice is inevitable. I was hopeful for justice in the election followed by disillusion with politics and revival which would forestall the end times but it does not appear to be forthcoming. Instead I expect to see further judgement of his house, and increasing evil in the world.
