I'm sure they did. How else would they get them out of there if they died?

    Seventh Day Adventist Beliefs

Who is coming back with Jesus in the second coming. Paul says only the dead in Christ will come back with him, the alive and remain (on earth) will meet them in the air. If there was a secret resurrection and rapture, wouldn't they all return?

    Seventh Day Adventist Beliefs

You agree don't you that that verse is about the second coming and not about a secret rapture? Matthew 25:31 [ The Son of Man Will Judge the Nations ] “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory.

    Seventh Day Adventist Beliefs

Thou I don't believe in soul sleep, I don't see a secret rapture seven or 3 1/2 years prior to the second coming as an authoritative doctrine of Christianity, but rather a more recent doctrine of only part of the Church.

    Thoughts on Charles Finney

Yes, to me it has always seemed they agree on false doctrines. That is why I wondered how they differ. I guess it is because they both come from the church age of the Reformation - Sardis - the dead church.

    Thoughts on Charles Finney

I just wondered because I haven't seen much difference.

    Thoughts on Charles Finney

I've just got a question. What is the difference in doctrine between a Lutheran and a Calvinist?

Poll - Tattooing: from male military and biker ethos...to viable witness means for both genders?

It is completely different. Tattooing is art, whereas cutting is not for scaring in a pattern, but for stress and pain relief.

MATTHEW 10:6 GO TO THE LOST SHEEP ***

I'm not sure what the problem is. In the Old Testament the children of Israel were God's chosen people. This is why they could only eat clean meat which before they existed was only used for sacrifices to God and represented the children of Israel's separation from the rest of the nations...

Who is the Amen in the book of revelation, not revelations

Amen means "so be it." He is also saying He is a true witness, and the chief of all God's creation. `And to the messenger of the assembly of the Laodiceans write: These things saith the Amen, the witness -- the faithful and true -- the chief of the creation of God; The Amen is a confirmation.

Is the Holy Spirit needed to believe initially?

Probably. Do you understand it? You didn't elaborate. Why?

Is the Holy Spirit needed to believe initially?

Same difference. They come from the Father

Is the Holy Spirit needed to believe initially?

We have gifts attributed to be from the Spirit in 1 Corinthians 12 for the profit of all; gifts or offices attributed to be from Jesus, the Son, in Ephesians 4 for the Church; but I see that the Father gives gifts to all men in Romans 12, not just to Christians. And one of these gifts God the...

Is the Holy Spirit needed to believe initially?

Yes, he is stuck in a rut believing that one of the fruit of the Spirit called faithfulness, or the ability to endure to the end, to persevere, is saving faith because some translations call it faith. He's made a whole other doctrine based on this error. So, is seems, did John Calvin.

Is the Holy Spirit needed to believe initially?

Here are two verses in the gospel of John that seem to contradict one another. The first is one Calvinists use to advocate only their elect are chosen irresistibly, and the other shows all men being drawn. John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I...

    I am done

I've actually enjoyed your posts, but I never receive a response. We have some things in common, especially when it comes to Jesus putting an end to sin by empowering us with His Spirit. 1 John 3:9 As far as you cursing us - Proverbs 26:2 Like a flitting sparrow, like a flying swallow, So a...

    Some good information for Dave

The point is these beliefs were preached by Brigham Young, and though now outlawed as is also polygamy, there are still some who want to practice them. I looked up sermons on this subject in the Journal of Discourses. But the church still believes that the blood of Jesus can't cover some sins...
