Jesus didn't take away our sin, only our punishment

Entering into Jesus brings us freedom from sin. The word for remission in the bible is actually akin to remission in cancer....as in your cancer is in remission. Basically cancer free. So then the Greek word "aphesis" is better translated as "freedom." When we actually know the truth...or...

Jesus didn't take away our sin, only our punishment

In your religious witch hunting mindset you ignore the purpose of the thread and that CL posted the title as a tongue in cheek statement. So in your usual hateful way...you are actually agreeing with CL...even though your pride would stop you from ever doing that knowingly. Way to go CL!

    Are Protestants "saved? "

Amen. There is knowing about the truth and actually knowing (experiencing) the truth. Only the second one sets you free. And the best defense of the truth is the practice of it. What we find mostly on forums are theorists. They have adopted a pre-packaged ideology based on some bible verses that...

The concept of existence and perfection

Humility only makes sense to the righteous. The same goes for the fear of the Lord. You need to start there.

The concept of existence and perfection

This makes no sense....and is vague since there is no real understanding here. We become mature IN His perfection...or else we are just becoming more obedient over time. So we can improve but never be perfect of ourselves. perfection is instantaneous by entering into Christ. Remaining in THAT...

Are You Free From The Law?

No, that is what entering into Christ does. It's funny how so many people get their tenses wrong. What IS in the future is denoting what salvation or not people will have been given.

The concept of existence and perfection

We are speaking of perfection and remaining pure from sin. Walking as Jesus walked. So you are way off here. Just ask people who have been believers for 70 or 80 years and ask them if we grow into perfection or not. Salvation is by grace through faith...not of works lest any man should boast...

Are You Free From The Law?

No, that's the law of God. Direct from His hand. The law of Moses was based on a temple holiness...an outer holiness. Being in Christ means a true holiness that makes the old kind obsolete. The law of Moses is but a shadow of the real holiness.

The concept of existence and perfection

You have some good points...but I see a deviation in that we don't grow into perfection. Perfection is already there IN Christ for they who are translated INTO Him. The difficulty is actually entering into Christ. In Him is no sin. We are allowed to enter in by the approval of God who responds...

Are You Free From The Law?

Being under grace means we are in Christ so as to walk as He walked...in His power over sin. Of course there is a learning curve to this. But the walk is on that level. If we have never walked beyond human strength then we are still under the law. That is the truth as difficult as that may...

Was Esau foreordained to be hated by God?

Esau represents the old sin nature. Jacob represents the part of us that can be redeemed. When our inner Jacob connects with God through Christ we become Israel but also as our inner Esau is crucified with Christ.

    corona virus vaccines

This virus attacks they who have a compromised immune system. Social distancing...lots of vitamin C and D....and the joy of the Lord...which is our strength. :)

    Are Protestants "saved? "

I'm a follower of Christ so I have nothing to protest against. I accept the will of God.

    Is this good for Christianity?

Good question. It becomes very hard to distinguish what is of value and truthful ...with what is just a religious preference. But one must also add in into the mix the prejudice of a very fallen humanity that judges very selfishly against anything that might curtail it's own perverted sense of...

Do you have a gifted teacher?

It then behooves each of us to be able to discern the difference between a broad way and a large room.

Do you have a gifted teacher?

Matthew 7:13-14 13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. The Christian...

    Heresy within Christianity

All false doctrine begins by a denial of life in the Spirit...a denial of a life in the presence of God empowered to walk as Jesus walked. So then ALL heretics walk in their own strength. But what makes them heretics isn't just that they walk in their own power...but that they teach a form of...

    Heresy within Christianity

There are so many modern errors in the modern teachings.....like layers of an onion. The more you peel away the doctrines the more you want to cry. And it all begins with a misunderstanding of the gospel. And a continuing lack of spiritual life.
