There are genuine believers and there are make believers. Simply going through the motions of moral self-reformation in a vain effort to obtain salvation by works (apart from authentic belief/faith in Christ) is not obedience. (Matthew 7:21-23; Luke 18:9-14; John 3:18; 6:40)

Trusting in self for salvation reminds me of the parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector in Luke 18:9-14. To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everyone else, Jesus told this parable.

In James 2:14, we read of one who says/claims he has faith but has no works (to evidence his claim). That is not genuine faith, but a bare profession of faith. So when James asks, "Can that faith save him?" he is saying nothing against genuine faith, but only against an empty profession of...

Good point. One interesting theory is that the mark of the beast will be a computer chip, surgically implanted under the skin, by a totalitarian government wishing to exercise total control over its citizens. "Right hand or forehead." Certain people may have been injured and lost their right...

Exodus 31:16 - Therefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant. 17 It is a sign between Me and (Christians? NO) the children of Israel forever; for in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, and on the...

Hi Barney. For me it's not about having an anti-Sabbatarian ax to grind. It's about refuting a "different" gospel that culminates in "salvation by grace plus law, faith plus works." (Galatians 1:6-9) Sabbath keeping with all it's rules and regulations, was part of a covenant with Israel (Exodus...

Come quickly Lord Jesus! :woohoo!:

Amen! The moral aspect of the law is written on our hearts. The law on our heart and mind is the love of the Spirit, not the letter of the law. This is why Paul tells us that the new covenant is a covenant of the Spirit, and not of the letter in 2 Corinthians 3:6-9. 2 Corinthians 3:6 - who also...

Amen! There are genuine Christians and there are "nominal/pseudo" Christians. There are genuine believers and there are make believers. Either we are trusting 100% in Jesus Christ as the ALL-sufficient means of our salvation or else we are 100% lost. (John 3:18; 10:9; 14:6; Acts 15:7-9; Romans...

In regard to Isaiah 66:22-23, this simply teaches that from month to month and from week to week, God’s people will worship Him. In the new heaven and the new earth, we read there will have no need of the sun or moon, there will be no night there, but one perpetual day and the glory of God will...

These folks who are absolutely obsessed with the sabbath and relentlessly push sabbath keeping as a 'legalistic prescription' for salvation on Christians just cannot seem to get it through their heads that sabbath keeping with all its rules and regulations, was part of a covenant with Israel...

Adventists are also the folks who teach that near the end of time the "mark of the best" of Revelation 14 will be placed upon those who worship on Sunday instead of Saturday. o_O https://nonsda.org/study8.shtml

By saying, "it's God's Word, but some choose to turn from it," (seeking salvation by obeying the 10 commandments with a heavy emphasis on the 4th commandment) demonstrates he remains under the law of Moses. Living under the new covenant instead of the old covenant (2 Corinthians 3:6-9) does not...

2 Timothy 2:15 - Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

According to your logic you remain under the law of Moses.

Paul does not merely limit "works" only to specific works of the law. In Titus 3:5, Paul stated that it is not by works of righteousness which we have done, (literally, works done in righteousness) but according to His mercy He saved us.. and in 2 Timothy 1:9, Paul stated that God saved us and...

1 Corinthians 2:11 - For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have...

It's too late for that. They know who WE are and if the regime ever gains full control of America, they are coming for US!
