    Jesus isn't Catholic

Not at ALL. I am forgiven per Jesus's prescription - not YOURS.

    Jesus isn't Catholic

WRONG. It doesn't "deny" anything. It give the CONDITIONS for Rom. 10:13. NO contradiction - just perfect harmony . . .

Then give me a SINGE INSTANCE of an "unjust" excommunication during the Inquisitions. If you can't - you've LOST the argument because YOU brought up the Inquisitions in the first place.

    Jesus isn't Catholic

WRONG. I'll explain again . . . Rom. 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. This MUST be read in CONTEXT with verses like the following: Matt. 7:21 NOT EVERY ONE that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the...

    Jesus isn't Catholic

What's wrong with you? I have a life outside this forum - a family and a home and a job. I don't sit in front of the computer all day holding my breath for YOU to post. I have other responsibilities. I just got back from confession if you must know.

    Jesus isn't Catholic

WRONG. That's precisely what Matt. 7:21 is saying - and it's NOT inconsistent with Scripture. It's ONLY inconsistent with YOUR cherry-picking of Scripture. WRONG again. God only deals in truth - and if you don't have any actual facts - then your entire case collapses like a house of cards.

    Jesus isn't Catholic

That kind of generalization wouldn't hold up in ANY court. Those kinds of ignorant generalizations are why there was a Holocaust. Unless you can show me an "unjust" case of excommunication- your argument circles the drain . . .

    Jesus isn't Catholic

You just don't get it - DO you?

Produce a case that YOU find was "unjust". Otherwise, your accusations ore nonsense.
  10. BreadOfLife

    Jesus isn't Catholic

Funny - I can't fin ONE VERSE that says the Eucharist is a mere "symbolic" gesture. Perhaps YOU can show me the verse. . . . John 6:53-56 So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever feeds...

    Jesus isn't Catholic

WRONG. Excommunication is a BIBLICAL remedy that is geared toward returning a person back to the fold: Matt. 18:17-18 If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church. And if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector. Truly, I say to you...

    Jesus isn't Catholic

3 John 9-10 I wrote to the church, but Diotrephes, who loves to be first, will not welcome us. So when I come, I will call attention to what he is doing, spreading malicious nonsense about us. Gee that sounds like Luther, Calvin and all of their ecclesial offspring . . .
  13. BreadOfLife

    Jesus isn't Catholic

And that's the REAL problem, isn't it? When you have tens of thousands of disjointed and perperpetually-splintering Protestant sects that ALL teach competing doctrines based on what THEY believe the Holy spirit is telling them - you have confusion. In other words - "Blind" guides . . .
  14. BreadOfLife

    Jesus isn't Catholic

NOPE - but MANY people have - and MANY people will. And as long as you understand that true faith is NOT just "believing" in Christ but OBEYING Christ - then your text in RED is correct. Remember - is ALL you do is "believe" - you're NO better off than the demons, who do the same (James 2:19)...

    Jesus isn't Catholic

It's not MY "show off" word - it's GOD'S. the Holy Spirit is the Author of Scripture and inspired the writers to use that word. If you can't deal with it - just say so and move on. Leave the real debating for the educated Scriptural students . . .
  16. BreadOfLife

    Jesus isn't Catholic

Yup - Galatians is the Book that explicitly tells is that the ONLY thing that matters is "faith WORKING through love" (Gal. 5:6). Now that's cooperation . . .
  17. BreadOfLife

    Jesus isn't Catholic

Then show me a verse that says that because that's NOT what Psalm 19 is about.
  18. BreadOfLife

    Jesus isn't Catholic

A "Gift" by definition is something that "HAS" to be received in order for it to be a gift. A gift that has been returned by the receiver is no longer a gift. PS - you STILL need to explain how those with an "Epignosis" of Christ can LOSE their security per Heb. 10:26-27 and 2 Pet. 2:20-22 . . .
  19. BreadOfLife

    Jesus isn't Catholic

And there YOUgo again adding to Scripture what s NOT there.
  20. BreadOfLife

    Jesus isn't Catholic

That is an asinine statement. "Cherry-picking" is merely a euphemism for incorrectly selecting single verses of Scripture.
