    Edward Fudge: Hero Or Heretic?

Please demonstrate, if it's not too much trouble.

    Edward Fudge: Hero Or Heretic?

His hate is so unlike ours that it might as well be called something different. The ancient Hebrew understanding of hate is different than that of modern western society, as well.

    Know Now, See Later

I love this topic. Credo Ut Intelligam. I believe, that I may know. But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6)

    Edward Fudge: Hero Or Heretic?

But that would be mathematically incorrect.

    Edward Fudge: Hero Or Heretic?

He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. (1 John 4:8)

    Edward Fudge: Hero Or Heretic?

Surely not. If that were true you'd be disregarding 99+% of what Scripture has to say about the subject.

What Keeps Us From Sinning In Heaven?

Thanks for the orders, but I have my own convictions to consult.

What Keeps Us From Sinning In Heaven?

@john t By the way, I notice you didn't even address the content of the examples I gave.

    No worries :)

What Keeps Us From Sinning In Heaven?

I didn't call you names. I specifically desrcibed your behavior. And the examples I gave were addressed to someone other than me. Just gotta put me in a box, huh? I'm not even close to being a Mormon (although some of the finest people I know are). Simply amazing. When are you going to get it...

What Keeps Us From Sinning In Heaven?

Anybody have any other ideas about what keeps saints and angels from sinning throughout eternity future?

What Keeps Us From Sinning In Heaven?

Addressing legitimate ill-behavior is not ad hominem, and "ad-hominem" is often the cry of those who are thus addressed. A good example of ad hominem would, however, be suggesting that someone possesses a low level of intelligence if they are doing or saying something that is disagreeable to the...

    Edward Fudge: Hero Or Heretic?

is chronology of the stages of life/death, no?

    You're leaving us, then?

    Edward Fudge: Hero Or Heretic?

I'm not sure it's good hermeneutics to use a book filled with symbols and reality, and periods of time, mixed and jumbled together to prove chronology.

What Keeps Us From Sinning In Heaven?

First of all, I never accused you of ad hominem. I observed very specific behaviors which I made plain. I've only been here for a few short weeks. I don't have "buddies" yet. I'm past ready to have done with this, and since it's clear to me that not only do you intend to dictate all terms based...

    Edward Fudge: Hero Or Heretic?

I would say exactly the opposite of that. No. They really don't. You shouldn't have to put the word "die" in quotes if the statement were true. When a man dies, he's simply dead. Behold, all souls are Mine; The soul of the father As well as the soul of the son is Mine; The soul who sins shall...

    Edward Fudge: Hero Or Heretic?

Absolutely not saying that. I believe that even hell itself is an act of mercy on the part of God. In the end, He is relieving them of something that would, in fact, be torture to them: Companionship with saints and angels, and a holy God.

    Edward Fudge: Hero Or Heretic?

I know it's been mentioned already, but the King James lends itself to an eternal torment interpretation. It's still my favorite, BTW.
