Hi daq, I was really trying to define the term "free Will" rather than predestination... Hi HM. Calvinism will never be 100% correct because Calvinism is a theory based on man's interpretation of the bible. We can say that about Arminianism as well as any other biblical theory... Their...

Getting back to the concept of what free will is...could it be considered as an alternative choice? An example could be that of Eve and the serpent. God told them not to eat of the tree of knowledge, of good and evil. That was the standard or rule which he set for them while they lived...

Ron, Charles, Shep, JD! I miss you guys.... :( wish you were here Shalom!

I think that we first need to be able to clearly define what "free will" is before deciding whether it is found in scripture or not ie: Is free will a conscious choice or decision? Be Blessed!

In Christ I beg to differ on this point. He does not give us a brand new soul... Galatians 5:16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, Ephesians 4:25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32. Romans 6:12-14, Romans 12:1-2, 3 He gives us his Spirit to help us be transformed into the likeness of Gods Son from the inside...

...praying for you dear Isaiah 61 “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because the Lord has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; 2 To proclaim the...

Hi In Christ, Welcome to CyB :) "Free will" may not be a word found in the bible but neither is the word "Trinity" and many other words that we have coined. I personally believe that God has given us a free will along with God choosing some whom he calls "the elect." I believe that the elect...

Amen! Looking back, I have to laugh at some of the entries I've made in the Journals I have kept. Some of them are 15-20 years old. I thank the Lord that he was so patient with me in those days and that he did not answer some of my prayers... I agree that when we become children of God, that...

Amen! Giving God praise before prayer really does open the doors of heaven....worshiping and praising God is awesome and we can easily abandon our purpose of entreating the Kings ear when we come face to face before his throne of grace.... surrounded by his glory and all encompassing peace..."It...

Hi inmate... ...now how do you know that?.. ..how do you know that what you are hearing, is something he would or would not say? That's right! ;) it's because you read your bible and the bible has given you an impression of God's character and his personality... Bless ya!

Then we may have to agree to disagree on this one brother... ^_^ I think that he is a baby Christian that has been given the wrong teachings about Christ and he has gleaned other teachings along the way and included it to his own understanding...but he is right on some issues... Be Blessed!
