Abiding in Christ is what we do to bear fruit. its not what we do to keep ourselves saved. God attaches us to the vine, We have to take in what God gives us through the vine, to produce fruit.

Amen, And we are born again Like jesus said in John 3 - 6 through faith in Christ and asking him for the living water bread from heaven.. That is when he attaches us to the vine, and we are able to produce fruit.

Adam was created perfect. He had the ability to sin. He was also alive spiritually When he sinned, He died spiritually. That death passed to all men. Which is what Jesus meant when he said we who have recieved eternal life have passed from death to life. How was it done? By hearing and believing
