"Joint Declaration on the Doctrine of Faith" - Has 500 Years Taught Us Nothing?

So we DON'T have to believe?? We DON'T have to respond to His call?? That is Anti-biblical nonsense.

"Joint Declaration on the Doctrine of Faith" - Has 500 Years Taught Us Nothing?

It's about how you COOPERATE with and RESPOND to that grace. Sitting around and ignoring Him WON'T save you . . .

"Joint Declaration on the Doctrine of Faith" - Has 500 Years Taught Us Nothing?

ALL of these verses contain stipulations. “Whoever believes in Him" “Whoever hears my word and believes Him who sent me has eternal life.” I will never drive them away” Nobody can snatch them from my hand.” “Whoever believes in me” “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them and they follow...

"Joint Declaration on the Doctrine of Faith" - Has 500 Years Taught Us Nothing?

You didn't READ post #468. Go back and read what it says about EPIGNOSIS. Only a born again follower of Christ has epignosis of Him - and the verses I presented say that even THAT person can LOSE it all.

"Joint Declaration on the Doctrine of Faith" - Has 500 Years Taught Us Nothing?

Once AGAIN - not ONE of these verses supports the heresy of OSAS. I've already shown that you CAN have Christ, then later abandon Him. Try again . . .

"Joint Declaration on the Doctrine of Faith" - Has 500 Years Taught Us Nothing?

As I have already PROVEN with Scripture in post #468 - even the most devout follower with an EPIGNOSIS of Christ can later choose to walk away from Him and LOSE everything (Rom. 11:22, Heb 10:26-27, 2 Pet. 2:20-22, Matt. 5:13, 1 Cor. 9:27, 2 Peter 3:17, 1 John 2:24, Rev. 3:5, Rev. 22:19).

    Nondenominational Christianity

And a less-than-superficial knowledge of ling I wholeheartedly agree on that point. I am NOT a fan of the KJV.

    Nondenominational Christianity

And ONCE again - YOU'RE the only one making the claim that the KJV is based on Catholic scholarship. Besides - the word "Easter" isn't in the Greek manuscripts - even ones copied by early Catholic scribes. There's not a single Protestant historian who would agree with you.

    Nondenominational Christianity

Whether YOU believe Mr. Sayer is completely irrelevant. The linguistic FACTS are true. Auferstehen/Auferstehung DOES mean “Resurrection”. "Christ ist erstanden" (Christ is risen) is a German Easter hymn, and is possibly the oldest Christian liturgical German song. (Wikipedia) And as for...

    Nondenominational Christianity

THANK YOU for acknowledging that the NT writers were ALL Catholic. The KJV was written from GREEK manuscripts and NO assistance from the Catholic Church.

    Nondenominational Christianity

As i already showed you, the different languages PROVE my point. Paques, Pasche, Pascua, Passcha, etc. are ALL names for Easrer in other languages.

    Nondenominational Christianity

The KJV was a PROTESTANT translation, Einstein. Add ignorance to your uncontrollable anger . . .

    Nondenominational Christianity

HUHH?? We were discussing LUKE and Acts in regards to Easter. This has NOTHING to do with Peter and the Gentiles. Leave it to an angry little anti-Catholic likeYOU to completely miss the whole point of the conversation. PAY ATTENTION . . .
  14. BreadOfLife

    Nondenominational Christianity

HUHH?? How do YOU know what Luke was “interested” in?? EVERY NT writer was interested in salvation. That’s the ENTIRE point of the New Testament. GOD is the Author – THEY were the writers. EVERY Gospel, EVERY Epistle, EVERY Letter was about salvation.

"Joint Declaration on the Doctrine of Faith" - Has 500 Years Taught Us Nothing?

Uhhhh, no – OSAS is a man-made fallacy. The verses I presented in post #468 PROVE this fact. They speak of those having an “EPIGNOSIS” of Christ falling away and LOSINGeverything. Epignosis is not simply “knowledge” (oida, gnosis). It is FULL, experiential and relationalknowledge – NOTsimply...

"Joint Declaration on the Doctrine of Faith" - Has 500 Years Taught Us Nothing?

TRANSLATION: "STOP exposing my pathetic, empty accusations - this is getting embarrassing!!" That's pretty much what I thought . . .
  17. BreadOfLife

"Joint Declaration on the Doctrine of Faith" - Has 500 Years Taught Us Nothing?

And HOW dows this prove OSAS?? Answer: It doesn't.
  18. BreadOfLife

"Joint Declaration on the Doctrine of Faith" - Has 500 Years Taught Us Nothing?

And to YOUR man-made OSAS fallacy . . . Romans 11:22 “See, then, the kindness and severity of God: severity toward those who fell, but God's kindness to you, provided you REMAIN in his kindness; otherwise you to will be cut off.” Paul is warning the faithful to REMAIN in God’s favor or they...

"Joint Declaration on the Doctrine of Faith" - Has 500 Years Taught Us Nothing?

For over a MONTH I've been asking you for some kind of PROOF for the bogus quotes you posted - only to be met with failure after failure on YOUR part. All you can do at this point is toss out cheap insults regarding sex scandals - ALL the while, living in pathetic denial of the sex scandals...
