WRONG. The Catholic Church has always taught that Peter is "THE" Rock of Matt. 16:18. Tell me something - if Jesus is the "Rock" - then how can Abraham be the Rock in Isaiah 51:1-2?? Answer: Jesus, Abraham and Peter are ALL described as being a "Rock" - but they have different ROLES.
