1 Jn 3:8: "I am a sinner saved by grace"

But out of Christ we are!

I wonder where this might lead...

Ah yes, but ultimately all power is from God. There is the power of His right hand and the power of His left hand. The left hand is the place of the goats. Goats also have a purpose in God's plan. Were the goats always goats or did they choose by what they did or did not do to become goats?

    “No place found”

@VictoryinJesus Along with this goes this verse: "And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head." Matt 8:20 Consider also these verses by David: "Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house...

    The Seven Spirits of God

Indeed, the blood is the life of us while the bones are the framework that supports us. Only Jesus of the three who died on Mt Calvary that day had no broken bones. Jesus allowed his blood to be shed so that others could partake of real Life, the Life which He was/is, but His bones were unbroken.

The Percentage of Catholics, Calvinism, Arminianism, or Other, On The Christianity Boards?

I guess then because of my own background and my current beliefs, that will subtract me out. I could not change what God has developed in me unless I were to walk away from Him. I won't do that! Give God the glory!

The Percentage of Catholics, Calvinism, Arminianism, or Other, On The Christianity Boards?

And where would Pentecostals fit? Are they among the ones listed or...?

The Percentage of Catholics, Calvinism, Arminianism, or Other, On The Christianity Boards?

I have not cast a vote because without looking up some definitions or descriptions of those you list, I don't know enough about them to fit myself in one of the categories. A very short definition of each would be helpful. I normally study my Bible, but I rarely get into your terminology...

    God's Mercy Endures Forever

God's mercy certainly will last forever as that psalm makes clear, but that means He is always merciful that that mercy will always be extended. God has set a limit to how much mercy He will extend to any man dependent upon what is in the man's heart. For Adam and Eve, who disobeyed the one...

    Luther's Theology of the Cross

@Episkopos Luther took hold of the already unwieldy misunderstandings and practices of the system in place and as you say while trying to improve things or to fix things multiplied the whole problem generally rather than fix it. What he did accomplish as God led him [as a very fallible man who...

    The Verdict... Guilty.

Perhaps Jesus made it possible for the rest of us die a death that qualified us for Life. We have to die to sin and without the sacrifice of Jesus who could do that? For those who accept it, Jesus cleared the slate for us and opened the Way for us through the power of the Holy Spirit to travel...

    The Verdict... Guilty.

What Mormons Believe--according to a Former BYU Professor

Some people describe a cult as being almost anyone who disagrees with their own view of what a Christian is. From my standpoint, I avoid calling any group a cult, because who among all of us has shown ourselves to be flawless in our view of what is the perfect child of God... or Christian. Even...

What Mormons Believe--according to a Former BYU Professor

On a per capita basis, the JWs probably suffered as bad or worse persecution under Nazi Germany dominion than the Jews... because for the most part they would suffer imprisonment or die rather than recant.

We Are and Will Be Equals With Jesus Christ! Nails and All?

I am with you on this for the most part, but some indeed have had physical scars in addition to spiritual ones. I really believe that some believers were eaten by physical lions in Rome. That may have left little or no time however for the formation of physical scars considering the final...

We Are and Will Be Equals With Jesus Christ! Nails and All?

It all has a meaning for people today, but not every example for every person. Your experience will not equal mine nor that of @bbyrd009 nor that of Jesus exactly. We are, or are to be, different parts of the Body of Christ. Jesus alone is the Head. Of course once it is all in order, will we...

Buying and selling in the last days

I think that we are finished here. You want to argue using man's logic, men's dictionaries and the example of a carnal man caught in his carnal problem with no thought about God's will in it. For your own sake you need to learn what it means to surrender to God and then follow His lead in...

Satan and His Army will not wait for new Christians to Armor Up!

Satan and His Army will not wait for new Christians to Armor Up!

Not the battles raging within each of us, those are not finished until all of the beasts within have been killed and so the fighting continues: From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and...

Satan and His Army will not wait for new Christians to Armor Up!

But, sometimes they are not taught correctly from the beginning of our walk. Herein we need to remember that they have little in knowledge of the Word of God and of the Spirit of God so God will be more merciful with than with an oldster who has been reading the Bible and praying in the Spirit...

Buying and selling in the last days

You use human logic to interpret the scriptures and call it the Word of God. Is that smart? I really do wish you could read with understanding what I wrote... but alas, I cannot do more than what I can do.
