The debate over "works and or good deeds" was a question of the early church. The Apostle Paul and other believed that saved was an instant in time. Salvation was a journey with elements that Paul broke down to several. Works have no effect on saved...it does salvation...the walk with God.

Lets say that you give money to a corrupt charity, does it matter?
