this is exactly what the op was talking about and why the churches are so week in America and beyond and have been for decades/ once again, God sent the disciples in twos. Even the church in jerusalem was not led by one man it has multiple leaders. The church did not meat in building. And...

First Work of Faith: Confessing Jesus Christ

James said a claimed faith is dead Paul said we are saved by faith alone. Apart from works. That works cancels grace it is one or the other it can not be both What about the deatH mute. How are they saved? The woman who was bleeding. Who just touched his robe. And di nto say a word? What did...

Jesus washed the disciples feet. He said th least will be the greatest. the disciples led they way he thought them.. sadly I believe the roman church had destroyed the modern church. For even after the reformation. The church brought many of the same principles with it..

We have differing views of what a pastor is. And what a true church looks like. A pastor from outside does not know his flock. So he will not know how to lead his flock. Not all people are the same not all people have the same needs. Or the same struggles.. I witnessed the church I grew up...

We hired all of our pastors.. Again, A pastor should be grown within.. Thats how the church grows. As leaders from within grow and start to lead their own groups..

    Organised Religion

in order to truely disciple someone, you need to have one on one time with them, or at the most, small groups where you are discipline each other, where you feel free to confess yoru sins to one another. Help each other in a time of need. Grow personally with that person. You can’t do that when...

A leader who is in a group would be confronted by other leaders they can not just go rogue

a teacher should be raising other teachers and other leaders. The church should grow within. This is another flaw of churches.. when a pastor falls or leaves. They have to go hire another pastor from an outside source.

They all want huge churches.. A pastor can not pastor his flock when there are hundreds in his flock.. Jesus disciples 12 men, with a few who would walk with them. Yet we have pastors who think they can pastor 50 - 100 or even more..

    Organised Religion

There were leaders. Not a leader a leader is dangerous in the fact they can become tempted and has no checks and balances. I have been to many churches over this country where the pastors would make sure only yes men were nominated for deacons.. My church has multiple leaders. Even our home...

  13. Eternally Grateful

    Organised Religion

This is another issue. Jesus sent them out in two’s. Not ones/ Paul went out with people. Not himself God never intended one person be in charge.. of a church. Or the church

I think a lot of it has to do with churches have gotten away from what made the church n the first century. They can’t even get breaking bread correct. It has become more of a production rather than an ekklesia..

Do "good", non-Christians, go to Heaven to be with God when they die or do they remain in the grave awaiting the resurrection?

there no none righteous. No not one. For all have sinned and fall short. There are no “good people” christIan or non christian. He who believes is not condemned’’he who does not believe is condemned already

First Work of Faith: Confessing Jesus Christ

so James contradicted paul? True too? Yur works cant wash away one sin. Let alone the inside.. I don’t scream either/ But when someone claims we are saved by faith plus works. II must, out of the abundance of my heart call them to repent. I rejects works of faith? its bad enough you...

First Work of Faith: Confessing Jesus Christ

Can someone explain to me how people can openly see those who teach 1. we re saved by faith plus works 2. If we do not do works we will not be saved 3. If we stop doing works we will lose salvation 4. That we are saved by water baptism, what church we go to. What tradition we are holding...

  19. Eternally Grateful

First Work of Faith: Confessing Jesus Christ

Here is the issue when someone says one must work. Or they are not saved., then they are speaking justification by works when you hear one say one works BECAUSE they are saved. Then they are speaking of sanctification. The problem is group number one starts screaming that people are against...

    Israel Is The Church

You lost me right here. You lost me in the way you spoke. And you lost me by your arrogance in thinking God could not do whatever God wanted to do.
