Lucky you! But most people do not have the good fortune of belonging to a small house church. And the number of people, who would be willing to offer their house, for use as a church, sad to say is small.

We can debate forever, as to which church is real and which is phony or which church preaches the truth and which doesn’t, but the purpose of this thread is to examine, whether churches can really remain the same size, while the world population explodes, and many things that used to be small...

The physical church you are referring to can only be understood spiritually, because the born again Christians that make up the church are scattered all over the world. But at the same time to validate your point, every born again Christian is a small church, if we are to get more technical...

There is no debate, that a spiritual church headed by and established by Jesus exist, which is all born again Christians as a collective or the body of Christ. But Jesus never established a physical church . He established a spiritual church.

It is up to you as an individual to double-check the doctrines or messages, that are preached or taught. So, if any church doctrine or message makes you uncomfortable, don’t go there anymore. Just as any business, whose service you don’t like, you can stop patronizing it.

While the main focus of any church should be to share or spread the gospel, people being human, also use the church to socialize, as long as socializing, does not dominate the gospel itself. All in all, no church can be better by itself, people have to work on it and make it better.

True, the 5000 & 4000 were not a church, but they were people who came to hear Jesus preach. Jesus did not establish a physical church , he was a traveling preacher, moving from place to place. But I do not doubt, that if Jesus had set up a physical church it would have had thousands of...

I belong to a mega-church, but I am always amazed by the number of people, including fellow Christians, who hold very strong negative opinions about every mega-church, without any knowledge of how any of those individual churches are run or operated. No church is perfect and no church is good...
