Does one need to study the bible?

No! Only the Holy Spirit can bring one to know God. All we can do is help people to pray for them to be given the Holy Spirit. And then encourage people to obey what the Holy Spirit teaches him or her.

Does one need to study the bible?

Good then he or she may be open to the truth. He or she may see that learning to know God from a book or man is impossible. He or she just may go and ask God to give him or her the Holy Spirit, and let the Holy Spirit to bring him or her to know God.

Can we rise above the scrutiny

If one allows the Holy Spirit/Jesus to guide his or her walk then he or she will always be in God’s will. God will make sure one is in his will at all times. Also all the glory for one walking the walk as God has one do is God’s. It is God’s work not him or hers. (Romans 8: 4) “He did this...

    Love?

In respect to loving God yes love is obedience. Jesus told us what one needs to do to love his or her neighbor. Love is doing for one another.

    Is Wesleyanism Dead?

In my opinion Wesleyanism was never alive. It never taught what the apostles taught. The following scripture is just some of what Wesley did not teach. Matthew 5:38-48) “You have learnt how it was said: Eye for eye and tooth for tooth. But I say this to you: offer the wicked man no resistance...

    Love?

To love God one has to live God’s Word. Loving God is obeying him. If one is living God’s commandments then he or she is also loving his brother. God’s commandments tell us how to love others. (John 14: 23) “Anybody who receives my commandments and keeps them will be one who loves me; and...

    What Do You Believe?

I have no interest in what you say. What you believe does not matter at all to me. This is a Christian Forum, and Christians know Jesus is God.

    What Do You Believe?

(Matthew 1: 18-20) “This is how Jesus Christ came to be born. His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph; but before they came to live together she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit. Her husband Joseph, being an upright man and wanting to spare her disgrace, decided to divorce her...

    What Do You Believe?

I believe Jesus is God, because the written Word of God says he was conceived by God. Also I know Jesus is God because he told me personally he is God.

Why do you believe what you believe?

I believe because God called me. I believed Jesus was God from a child on. No reason to believe, but I accepted that, Jesus was God. Now I know Jesus is God, because he personally told me he is God. Also Jesus has shown himself to me, and has sat next to me. Jesus has been personally...

    The Heresy of Perfectionism

Is that your answer as to my question: Strange that the translators who translated our bibles did not know what you seem to know, is it not? Did you ever think that just may be the Holy Spirit was guiding those who translated our bibles? Also did Greek words change meanings as English word have...

    The Heresy of Perfectionism

What does that question have to do with this conversation?

    The Heresy of Perfectionism

Strange that the translators who translated our bibles did not know what you seem to know, is it not? Would they then have use a different way to say perfect if you are right? You should know that God is a Christian’s teacher. God know what is the correct understanding of the written Word...

    The Heresy of Perfectionism

So perfection is not only possible, but a goal for people.

    The Heresy of Perfectionism

And from what authority did that opinion come from? I have the best teacher ever to teach me to understand the written Word of God. Jesus/Holy Spirit is my teacher. May be that is why very few people can agree with what is posted by me. Just about everyone else is just allowing man’s...

    The Heresy of Perfectionism

My understanding of being perfect as in not sinning, is that one always does God’s will. Jesus told us to pray for his will to be done here on Earth and it is in Heaven. John when speaking about sin that leads to death, sin that says one is of the devil, he is speaking about deliberate sin...

    The Heresy of Perfectionism

Jesus was telling me that Paul like me had to grow to become perfect. My understanding of being perfect as in not sinning, is that one always does God’s will. It does not mean that one no longer just commits deliberate sin. Jesus told us to pray for his will to be done here on Earth and it is...

    The Heresy of Perfectionism

After about a year into my ministry I asked Jesus why Paul said some of the things the way he did. Jesus told me that Paul was not perfect either. Paul was just an imperfect man that Jesus chose to use, and Paul had to grow to perfection also. Jesus also told me he did not make perfect people...
