Blood does not save, love does.

Wow. Nothing happening here for months. Did you chase 'em all away? lol In response, I just no longer subscribe to Eusebius's rewriting of the History of the Church (which is the basis of the Catholic/Protestant doctrine). One can view the term "sheep" differently. Christs sheep hear him (as...

I agree. Dust shaken. When I saw Unorthodox Doctrine, I thought is was a discussion area. But it is just an Orthodox trap to spout off at different Christian theologists who aren't "Orthodox". A lie, to say the least. It just confirms what I have learned through the years. Like others before...

Blood does not save, love does.

I am a Christian. If gnosis means knowledge, then I seek knowledge. I read everything, Gnostic, Early Church Fathers, Apocryphal. Not all books agree with others, and I see a definite division. So I study the division and see how it holds up to the Gospels where Christ taught, MMLJ and Thomas...

Blood does not save, love does.

I'll admit I am a heretic. Just a word. Jesus was called the equivalent by the Jews, even the devil. They were ignorant also. Paul said:Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily...

Blood does not save, love does.

Jesus knew the power of blood. He also knew the power of spirit (it's control over flesh and blood as he healed cripples, raised dead). The greatest sacrifice Jesus made wwas to leave the Father (perfect) and walk through imperfection). He knew where death led. And he taught us that through...

Marcion wasn't a Gnostic. I see you are quick to classify people and start the name calling. But no bother, I find I get that from the organized Orthodox community. Mark 9 38 And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad...

Pope is just position of celestial authority on Earth. Jesus never set up men as celestial authority, IMO. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pope_Pius_I Again, WIKI points to the New Advent of the Catholics for it's content. The only accounts we had about Valentinus and Marcion were from Catholic...

Blood does not save, love does.

The Muratorian Canon was a second century collection under Pope Pius i. Pius excommunicated Valentinians and Marcion who he believed was Gnostic. Regardless, are you familiar with the Codex Sinaiticus. An older Bible than Vaticanus and many more books, including Revelations mid way of the NT...

    This Means War

Flesh and blood will pass away. I see no redeeming quality in physical blood or flesh. I don't use the OT to confirm Gospel truth. Jesus told the Jews they had followed the devil. He also said: John 10 7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep...

    ISIS who are they?

Islam is taught to be a "theocracy", while most religions are a "theology". There is a difference. Basically, a theology is the study of the nature of God and religious belief., and theocracy is a system of government in which priests rule in the name of God or a god. The Jews were a theocracy...

    This Means War

John 6 "Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you." The blood is spiritual. Hebrews, Revelations descriptive is physical (shed blood=physical death). Blood is life in the physical, knowledge...

Blood does not save, love does.

Ill informed? Ignatius (35-110AD). Early church father, He is also responsible for the first known use of the Greek word katholikos (καθολικός), meaning "universal", "complete" and "whole" to describe the church, writing: Wherever the bishop appears, there let the people be; as wherever Jesus...

25 Reasons that the Gospel of John was Actually Written by Lazarus, the Disciple Jesus Loves

An interesting synopsis. But wouldn't patriarch Peter be really considered "violent" in his own right? Mary (Magdalene) feared Peter. Peter suggested her to be no part of the journey. Even Paul had a violent disagreement with Peter. I'm not degrading Peter, just pointing to the issues he...

Blood does not save, love does.

Well, two things. Hebrews first. The author of Hebrews is unknown. My study shows Hebrews was probably written by a catholic sympathizer. The pastorals (Titus, 1,2 Timothy) as well as Hebrews are accepted by many as Pauls writing. I don't buy it for these reasons. 1. Hebrews is the only letter...

25 Reasons that the Gospel of John was Actually Written by Lazarus, the Disciple Jesus Loves

Good common ground there, friend. Jesus asks who he is. Peter says he (Jesus) is the Christened Son of the Living God. Jesus asks him as Simon Barjona. But flesh and blood (physical) Simon doesn't see it, it is Peter (the new spiritual man) who see's and understands. The rock means "sturdy...

Blood does not save, love does.

An older post. But a good one, IMO. Jesus came with a sword. To separate the physical from the spiritual. People see blood (a physical thing) as important. I don't believe it is. Jesus said to eat his flesh and drink his blood. Jesus words were all spiritual. His flesh is the word (truth) he...

25 Reasons that the Gospel of John was Actually Written by Lazarus, the Disciple Jesus Loves

I did. I just did not read "into it". Didn't see the importance. It's like calling Peter a rock. Peter denied Jesus, was called Satan by Jesus, and Jesus had to harness him in Gethsemane. A devout patriarch creating a patriarch religion. I just don't see what others have been trained to see...

Non trins are not christians or Jesus' followers.

The content before and after your 1 liners is import as well. John 14 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye...

25 Reasons that the Gospel of John was Actually Written by Lazarus, the Disciple Jesus Loves

A blog? When one traverses the early church fathers, early Christian writings (pre 200AD) of both Canon and non Canon accounts, there is more information to decipher from. The Jewish revolt was a good reason to comfort Christian Jews with the Apocalypse of John and Peter also. (circa 96-97AD)...

25 Reasons that the Gospel of John was Actually Written by Lazarus, the Disciple Jesus Loves

I believe the Gospel According to John was probably written by presbyters of the Johannine's, those who John taught through oral tradition. Many scholars share this view. A good chance John was no longer alive since 90-120AD is the focal point of it's writing.
