EATING AND DRINKING IN THE KINGDOM

What do you do with a man who laughs at his own dim wittedness! :doldrums:

Did God approve or disapprove of the Jewish temple?

Scott, you're a muddled mess when it comes to interpretation!

Did God approve or disapprove of the Jewish temple?

The prophets had lots of failings yet it didn't mean that they were not valuable. I think of Jonah who did a runner, or Moses who murdered, or Abraham who lied....the list goes on. It's like the parable Jesus told of the husbands who planted a vineyard and let it out to tenants who mistreated...

When Did Jesus Go to Egypt?

When Did Jesus Go to Egypt? Before breakfast.

Did God approve or disapprove of the Jewish temple?

I think the word 'inerrant' is over rated. It is a word men have superimposed on the scriptures. The fact that Jesus said, 'you have heard said but I say unto you.....' is an indication that what they had heard said was not inerrant as the word is generally perceived and I would ask, where had...

Did God approve or disapprove of the Jewish temple?

None of the Prophets had the perfect 'formula'. What they understood was filtered through their culture, ie their knowledge of God and their life experiences which was riddled with dysfunctional views and behaviours....just as ours is even though God spoke to them just as he speaks to us today...

    Sacrifices

Good observation! It begs another question, was what Moses attributed to the Lord as saying, not what the Lord said?....and How can we know?

EATING AND DRINKING IN THE KINGDOM

The misapprehension you doggedly insist on is the implication that I am talking of 'greasy grace' and that what you put out has nothing to do with law. You have fooled yourself with your own construct just as the Jews fooled themselves with theirs!

EATING AND DRINKING IN THE KINGDOM

Interesting how you side stepped a direct question substituting it with blame (judgement) without evidence. In other words, no grace! It's a common pattern with the trumpeters of 'law has been done away with, we are now under grace' It's odd how the lack of grace and the implementing of laws...

EATING AND DRINKING IN THE KINGDOM

I see you have your own laws!.....Is there any grace towards those who don't?

    Israel Attacks Iran!

Mass deception is already ensuing. It is ratcheted up by spurious interpretation.

    Messiah 2030

To come to any accurate conclusion regarding the interpretation of this verse, it needs to be determined who the 'he' is at the out set of the text and whether the 'he' later in the text is the same person. We also need to be aware that the angel who is speaking these words is in response to...

    Strong Delusion

Yes, I read your post. Paul is paraphrasing OT scriptures. Here are some amongst others... Deuteronomy 29:4, Jeremiah 5:21, Ezekiel 12:2. They speak of Israels 'stiff-necked' attitudes and an unwillingness to take counsel. The onus is on the people not God yet the OT writers put it onto God...

    FUNNIES

I think your understanding of it has evolved (morphed). The word itself retains its original intent.

    FUNNIES

You need to check the definition of the word 'Liberal'

    FUNNIES

I guess the opposite to liberal is tight fisted, judgemental and holier than thou!

How can I deal with these reservations?

Check out the link of 'ReDiscovering God' dialogs in my signature below. There are quite a few subjects addressed. You might look to find something that piques your interest.

Do the Ten Commandments still apply under the new covenant today?

Perhaps you could explain HOW they are a seperate issue?

    Strong Delusion

I can see you have it in for Calvinists BBJ. Have you read John Calvin yourself?

Do the Ten Commandments still apply under the new covenant today?

hmmm, in-laws, out laws, traffic laws, annnnd I guess rocking up naked at a church service wouldn't be an issue then.
