I AM THINKING THAT VOTING FOR A DEMOCRAT IS A SIN

I can only conclude that your hearing/ vision is either beyond poor or that obfuscating is your objective.

I AM THINKING THAT VOTING FOR A DEMOCRAT IS A SIN

I asked you to clarify/ qualify your statement of 'straight up evil'. I would also ask how that applies to my post #19?

I AM THINKING THAT VOTING FOR A DEMOCRAT IS A SIN

Do you want to clarify that statement....or do you prefer obscurity?

I AM THINKING THAT VOTING FOR A DEMOCRAT IS A SIN

I guess you don't know anybody personally who is Trans or heard their story? or have you ever invited one of these folk to dinner? Zacchaeus, that short fellow up a tree was as despised by 'upstanding' citizens as many christians are of LGBTQ folk. We forget that Jesus sought him out, not the...

What is 'called into marvelous light'?

The man born blind and healed didn't know who healed him but he was healed nevertheless and grateful for it. When Jesus showed up there was no hesitation in worshiping him. The Pharisees on the other hand had nothing but accusation and blame for the blind man now seeing and the one who healed...

Dolly Parton Believed in God, but Was It the God of the Bible?

Faith is the fork that delivers the nutrition. There is no nutrition in the fork no matter how convinced you might be that there is. Forgiveness is Gods attitude towards his creatures. Trusting that forgiveness does not generate that forgiveness anymore than a fork give nourishment to the body...

I AM THINKING THAT VOTING FOR A DEMOCRAT IS A SIN

'Should' is wishful thinking. The reality determines the truth of the matter.

I AM THINKING THAT VOTING FOR A DEMOCRAT IS A SIN

Loosing sight of the risen Jesus results in focus on political parties. Blame and judgement are an inherent result.

    Executing People is Murder!

If you don't get it you don't get it!

    Ethical question

Truth is so easily a victim of politeness or judgement while 'piety' justifies it.

    Executing People is Murder!

You can only draw this conclusion when you haven't seen Jesus....or, you don't want to see him. It was those revered by men (the Pharisees) who chose not to see Jesus, therefore they justified killing him.....using their law

    Executing People is Murder!

Many 'Christians' approve of executing people because they believe God does the same.

There is no more getting away with blasphemy.

The essence of blasphemy is the misrepresentation of God. The insidiousness of it is that it is done under the banner of witnessing for God.

    Ethical question

You could come from an angle explaining that the motive of death is in conflict with the principle of life and joy which marriage is a promise of?

    Executing People is Murder!

You are probably familiar with the film 12 Angry Men, Jack. It depicts the problems of 'evidence' when bias or prejudice are the driving forces. Its quiet interesting.

Heyyyyy, what a wonderful qualifier of God's love!

    Ethical question

One aspect of an invitation to a wedding is to witness the covenant they make with each other. Another is to participate in their joy. Maybe you could clarify what you mean by the 'no' ?

How do you become content with all the differing views?

How do you become content with all the differing views? I don't. They are what they are. Opinions change, are added, are contradictory and are as fickle as the weather, that I accept however, my security is based on the promise of Jesus, 'I will never leave you or forsake you'.

Dolly Parton Believed in God, but Was It the God of the Bible?

You quote it yourself (Romans 5:8) yet you do not see it. Blindness to the obvious is the condition the Pharisees exhibited. The story of Jesus making mud and putting it on the blind mans eyes in John 9 reveals this.

Dolly Parton Believed in God, but Was It the God of the Bible?

@bdavidc In case you're interested, it is judgement which was the driving force of the Pharisee's. It consisted of, 'look at me, look at me, look how law abiding and beyond reproach I am'. From that perspective (HOW they saw) they had set themselves up to judge. They were trapped by pride. They...
