    James 2:17-18
[17] Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. [18] Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

There are multiple threads on works. This thread is not to debate “I will shew thee my faith by my works.” But to show what others may believe are the “works” that show their faith.

Do you have “works” you believe reveal your faith? What are those works? How have your demonstrated faith in the Son of God? How can others see your faith? Is it mere words that you have put your faith in the Son of God?

The one that (James) wrote that was a Jew, under the Law of Moses and the first verse in his book shows his book to be only to the Jews who were under the law of Moses. It is not for the grace gospel.

Here are some more facts that support my opinion. I find them interesting.

    1. The word “Law” is found in 18 places
    2. The word “grace” is found in 2 places
    3. The word “Christ” is found in 2 places
    4. The word “Justified” is found in 2 place with the words “by works” after them
    5. The words “by faith” is found 1 time (justified by works and not by faith only)
    6. The word “cross” is not found
    7. The word “reconciled” is not found
    8. The word “sanctified” is not found
    9. The word “saved” is not found
    10. The words “in Christ” are not found
    11. The shed blood of Jesus on the cross is not mentioned.

Romans 4:1-7 Abraham Justified by Faith.
1 What then shall we say that Abraham our father has found according to the flesh?
2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God.
3 For what does the Scripture say? "Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness."
4 Now to him who works, the wages are not counted as grace but as debt.

Victory: It is more than obvious that James was talking about the "Works" of following Yahweh's Laws, Torah and Commands. James made it clear that Paul's "faith and grace" without following Yahweh's Laws, Torah and Commands were as worthless as worthless can possibly be. Supposedly Jesus said that He did not come to do away with one jot or tittle of Yahweh's Laws, Torah and Commands:

    Matthew 5:17-19
Matthew 5:17-19 17"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven".

It was the murderer, tare and false apostle Paul that conjured/dreamed up the detestable tall tale that Yahweh's Laws/Torah/Commands were nailed to the Cross and that those Blessed and Holy Laws/Torah were a curse to man. Paul was the servant of the evil one/satan/devil.

Moses, the Prophets, Jesus and the true 12 Apostles followed/Observed Yahweh's Laws, Torah and Commands to the very end of their lives. The only way anyone will be resurrected into the New Covenant/Paradise/Heaven is to faithfully follow/observe Yahweh's Laws, Torah and Commands. There is absolutely no shortcuts or any other way. Take the murder, tare and false apostle Paul's heathen and pagan detestable teachings with a grain of salt.

    John 6:28
28 "Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?
29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on Him whom He hath sent. "

People would much rather "DO" so they feel righteous...than believe what Jesus says here in those verses...." BE " a Believing Believer!!

I gave you a like, only because I can't give a Half like, you see I Agree with half of your Post!
Paul was an accomplice to the death of Steven, but was not a Murder, And if you can take what Paul stated about the Law, you can trace it back to the OT. Paul was the Perfect choice for a Apostle to the Gentiles, Paul studied under the Greatest Torah Teacher, according to Jewish Rabbi's to this day! The only real objection Paul had with the Pharisees, that had so called converted to the Way, was that they were trying to convince the Gentiles to be Circumcised According to the Covenant and Keep the added laws of the Pharisees!
You Shall Not Add to or Diminish from the Word of God!
1- Circumcision was a part of the Covenant that only had to do with the Land- the Gentiles will never need to be granted any part of the Land! In the End the Land will not be the Issue!
    Question!
Are you aware that there are Two Torah's !!!
I hope for your response, so we can continue with the Half I do Agree with!

One must remember this one fact about works, Most works go unseen because we are not to let our right hand know what our left hand is doing!
When a Soul can reach out to someone, without there knowledge, and help them it only leaves them thankful to God for the Blessing, sometimes seen by man, but always seen By God.
Peoples outward works of being kind, and respectful, and compassionate, are what makes, some to have a good report among other believers! you know our interactions with our community, but true works come from the Heart, seeing that needs are met, secretly as possible!

Truth Seeker: Paul was part of the murdering party that murdered Stephen and that makes Paul guilty of murder. Paul put an untold huge number of innocent followers of "Yahweh's Way" (men and women) in prison and I would guess that those prisoners died shortly after being incarcerated because of the horrible conditions of the prisons at that time in history. So, it was not only Stephen that Paul was responsible for murdering.

Only some of the true supposed Apostles met with the murderer, tare and false apostle Paul on three occasions and those meetings did not go well at all. The supposed True Apostles did their very best to avoid Paul.

All of Yahweh's Laws, Torah and Commands were to be kept according to the Holy Hebrew Bible if, and this is a huge if, they were to true followers of Yahweh. Simple minded Paul told a different story.

Paul was said to have "a thorn in the flesh". This thorn in the flesh was more than likely Paul being possessed by a demon or Paul being Bi-Polar. Both seemed to fit the description of Paul very well.

If you are responding to me, I kinda hoped for a calmer discussion, and not a condemning rage about Paul, and slandering a person selected by Yeshua Himself!
I guess Yeshua was incapable of choosing the right Guy! GO FIGURE!

Looks like the Devil has you deceived about Paul (and who knows what else).

If what you claim is true we would not have over half of the New Testament written by the apostle Paul, and we would not have Peter clearly praising Paul and telling us that ALL of Paul's epistles are to be regarded as Scripture.

Truth Seeker: Paul supposed lived at the same time of Jesus so Jesus had plenty of time to select Paul as an Apostle but He did not choose Paul. There were only 12 True Apostles and Paul was not one of them. Paul would sometimes say that he was the least Apostle and at other times he would say that he was the greatest Apostle. These thoughts of grandeur and then the feelings of being more than worthless often goes with being Bi-Polar. Absolutely none of the True Apostles never, ever, called Paul an Apostle.

Paul's claim of having the vision on the road to Damascus was a made up tall tale Paul conjured/dreamed up. Paul's best friend and more than likely only friend Luke told the Damascus tall tale three times in Acts and every time Luke told the story the story changed. A witness in a court of law that changes his story every time that he tells the story is not a credible witness and those stories will be considered false stories and worthless.

Trent Steve Post #13...more garbage and totally reverse of what the bible says.

I hope @VictoryinJesus asks you to leave her her thread and stop posing such stuff ..and go and start a thread of your own somewhere else. This thread is about Faith by works...not your junk about Paul.
    Take it elsewhere.

How on earth can you list yourself as a "christian" and actually believe such error.

Looks like Trent appreciated my comments. He double-posted then without any rebuttal. So we are making some headway.

Enoch: Show me the verse or verses that Peter supposedly called Paul's letters Scripture. It is a well known fact that Bible Scholars do not think that Peter wrote Second Peter. Actually, no Israelite wrote any of the New Testimony. It was the heathen and pagan Gentile Romans that wrote all of the New Testimony after they murdered the Israelites in Jerusalem and after they plundered and destroyed Yahweh's Holy Temple in or around 70AD. Those heathen and pagan Gentile Romans were determined to come up with their own god and that is what they did.

There are not three gods in one as the New Testimony teaches There is only one True God and that is Yahweh. Yahweh was and is the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and their descendants if and only if those descendants follow/observe Yahweh's Laws, Torah and Commands. Gentiles can be considered the same as Israelites if, and this is a huge if, they will follow Yahweh's Laws, Torah and Commands. There are absolutely no shortcuts.
