1 Corinthians 2:14 (NKJV)
But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know [them,] because they are spiritually discerned.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What is this natural man that can not receive the things of the Spirit of God?
It is the human understanding; the reasoning faculty of man; his human reasoning and understanding....
If this is true, then it is true as scripture says his learning and grasp on spiritual truths would be nonexistent... Even more so, they would be foolishness to him...
Then to push the point even further scripture says, “nor can”.... Meaning the absolute impossibility of the natural man, to receive the truths put forth in scripture....
And then scripture puts forth the why...
“Because they are spiritually discerned”....
Meaning that the understanding of scripture can only come from the Spirit of God to the spirit of man; so that man might understand... Anything else but this is but the human understanding; the human reasoning playing with the words of scripture elevating itself before itself with it’s ability to move words around.... But has no effect on the overcoming of the works of the flesh... For it can in fact be the strength of the kingdom of self and not it’s death....
For all truth received from God to the heart frees one from the works of the flesh, into the freedom of the children of God...
For the understanding of all truth; as they are in Jesus brings with it an increase in righteousness in the life as an outward manifestation.... If sin is not being overcome by the truth, the truth did not come from God but through the human understanding of scripture...
For all truth that comes from God frees one from sin into the marvelous newness of life...
Which is the birthright of all those that have received the new birth.. Which, as it grows in one, this life becomes the light of life.....
And once learned to discern scripture spiritually, scripture says that one can now judge all things.... The reason being, because all things are now judged against righteousness, righteousness itself being the judge..
Be blessed in the understanding that comes from and through one’s personal relationship with Christ.. From God’s heart to man’s heart...
